AbstractAbstract
[en] A recent reanalysis of the classical Eoetvoes experiment - concerning the relation between the inertial and gravitational mass - shows strong correlation between the baryon number per unit mass of the samples and the deviations from the strict linearity measured by Eoetvoes. This result can be interpreted as an evidence for the existence of a new basic interaction of medium range, 'the fifth force'. Another possible candidate for carrying a new interaction is the lepton charge, the symmetric pair of the baryon charge in grand unified models. It is pointed out that the deviations from the null results in the Eoetvoes experiment do not correlate with the lepton charge per unit mass of the samples used by Eotvoes, only with their baryon charges. AbstractAbstract
[en] By enlarging the functional space to include nonlocal fields which are sensitive to the space-time asymptotics of the configurations the Θ-sectors in the OS-Hilbert space were formally constructed. The question of inequivalence of the different Θ-sectors was studied on two quantum mechanical examples and in the case of non-Abelian gauge theories. (author)

[en] The one-loop fermion-fermion-vector three-point functions, the amplitude for the lepton → lepton + photon decays and the anomalous lepton magnetic moments are given in general gauge theories. The results can be used to get restrictions on fermion mixings and the masses of the intermediate bosons. We discuss briefly the case of some superstring inspired E6 grand unified models. (author)

[en] The superselection structure of the Wess-Zumino-Witten theory based on the affine Lie algebra so(N) at level one is investigated for arbitrary N. By making use of the free fermion representation of the affine algebra, the endomorphisms which represent the superselection sectors on the observable algebra can be constructed as endomorphisms of the underlying Majorana algebra. These endomorphisms do not close on the chiral algebra of the theory, but we are able to obtain a larger algebra on which the endomorphisms close. The composition of equivalence classes of the endomorphisms reproduces the WZW fusion rules. (orig.)

[en] We point out that the deviations Δκ in the Eoetvoes experiment do not correlate with the lepton and the neutron number of the used materials. As a consequence of these facts if the hypothetical ''fifth force'' is associated with a new U(1) gauge symmetry there must be new fermions in the extended model or this symmetry does not respect the family structure of the low-energy fermions

[en] In the two-dimensional spin model with spins taking values in the symmetric group S3 a solution of the star-triangle equation is found associated to a genus-zero rapidity curve. The solution intersects the physical region of couplings at the point (β*2, β*3) = (1/8 ln 2 + 1/6 ln (1+3/√2), 1/3 ln (1+3/√2)). This point is conjectured to be a tricritical point where a non-abelian orbifold symmetry is realized, namely the symmetry described by the Hopf algebra D (S3), the double of S3. (orig.)

[en] Making use of the generating functional of the non-abelian flavour anomalies of QCD we construct a gauge invariant phenomenological lagrangian of pseudoscalar and vector mesons, which is equivalent to the extended Wess-Zumino lagrangian in the low energy approximation. The gauge kinetic term of the hidden local symmetry is necessarily present and the gauge coupling constant is determined by the equivalence. (orig.)
