#GCInternshipStories Federica Pavia, alumna of GC Europe, interned with Terre des hommes foundation in Brussels, Belgium, where she contributed to advocacy and communications work focusing on children’s rights. During her internship, Federica played a role in promoting children’s right to a healthy environment, supporting the #VoteforChildren Campaign at the EU Parliament, and facilitating child participation in international forums. Federica was actively involved in developing social media content, drafting letters and reports, and coordinating advocacy efforts across multiple platforms. Reflecting on her experience, Federica said, "This internship provided valuable insights into advocacy and children's rights and allowed me to develop a wide range of skills in a dynamic international setting." 🌍 Global Campus Alumnae at the Council of Europe Conference on Digital Resilience in Montenegro 🌍 Congratulations to Lamija Kovačević and Veronika Vasilić! As alumnae of the European Regional MA Programme in Democracy and Human Rights in South East Europe (ERMA), they participated as panelists at the Council of Europe Conference on Digital Resilience in Montenegro, 25 and 25 October. Our alumnae were selected to discuss the involvement of young people in racist and xenophobic digital acts on the internet, as well as to engage in exploration of existing strategies to combat and prevent cybercrime and hate speech online. Lamija presented her MA research findings under the title "Rethinking Online Hate: Memes, Subtle Exclusion, and Youth Agency."
