Last week, on 27-28 November, ERYICA was in Munich 🇩🇪 for the kick-off meeting of the Erasmus+project #AI Youth Navigator coordinated by Jugendagentur gGmbH  These two very productive days were dedicated to getting to know partners and defining the steps of the different activities that will be handled during the next 2 years. This project aims to develop a platform that gathers AI tools with tutorials for improving youth (info) workers' daily work. 🌟 This week, ERYICA is proud to be part of the #YouthParticipationForum 2024 in Tallinn, Estonia! 🇪🇪 As a member of the Youth Participation Steering Group, we are actively monitoring the implementation of the Youth Participation Strategy SALTO PI. Alongside National Agencies and European organizations, we played a key role, together with other YPS Steering group members and SALTO PI, in organizing a fully booked workshop for National Agencies, showcasing the strong interest and commitment to youth participation. Our contributions have been particularly impactful in AIM 3: Informing, where we've collaborated closely with National Agencies to analyze this crucial pillar of the strategy. 📣 Exciting updates from ERYICA! Last week, we actively participated in the Steering Group and Advisory Board meetings of #EuropeGoesLocal (EGL). These meetings focused on shaping the 2025-2027 strategy and the key activities for the next three years. 🤝 ERYICA is set to deepen its collaboration by connecting our members and youth information services at the local level with those involved in EGL. This partnership empowers us to enhance youth work through better access to information and stronger networks, supporting young people more effectively in their communities. 💡 Europe Goes Local is a European initiative aimed at elevating the quality of local youth work through #advocacy, knowledge #exchange, peer #learning, and strategic #networking. Our participation reinforced our proactive role in integrating youth information services to boost local youth work quality. 🚀 Over the past three days, the ERYICA team joined the Technological University of the Shannon in Dublin to launch a groundbreaking Erasmus+ project: #VirtualReality in #YouthWork. This 3-year initiative will use VR to reach young people who are often “Difficult to Reach” due to neurodivergence, physical disabilities, geographic isolation, or high digital absorption. Our goal is to make youth work more accessible, inclusive, and impactful through immersive technology. In partnership with youth organisations across Europe, we’ll develop a VR space designed with young people to be creative, inclusive, and sustainable. This digital environment will empower both youth and youth workers, helping them build skills for the future. At ERYICA, we believe that youth work and technology go hand-in-hand in our digital world, opening up new possibilities for #inclusion and #innovation. Stay tuned for more updates as we embark on this journey of digital inclusion and youth engagement! 🎉 Today, we officially kicked off the #JIMMY – Youth Information Mediator eLearning course, bringing together 20 dedicated youth workers and professionals. This course, created to strengthen youth information and counselling skills, offers participants the chance to dive deep into youth information resources, address key questions from young people, and master specialised interview methods used in the field. Over the next five weeks, they’ll participate in webinars, interactive sessions, and practical exercises to enhance their expertise. A special thanks to our expert trainers, Carolina Loureiro and Kadri Koort-Kauniste, supported by shadow trainers Myriam and Milos Blagojevicš. 🌍 This week, ERYICA is actively participating in the Symposium on Young People, Climate Crisis, and Sustainability in Strasbourg, organised by the EU-CoE Youth Partnership This event gathers experts, youth, and policymakers to explore how young people are addressing the climate crisis and what policy shifts are needed to support them 🌱 We’re proud to have played a key role in the expert group advising on the programme and to present our Greening Youth Information Services booklet during the event. Sustainability is a top priority for young people, and it’s crucial that the youth sector continues to lead in this area.
