We’re thrilled to announce the conclusion of the open architectural design competition for five residential buildings in the “Tērbatas dārzs” quarter. This two-round competition, which began in June, brought forward remarkable architectural solutions from both local and international firms. 🎉 Congratulations to the Winners: • SIA “Mark Arhitekti” for their design of three buildings with a total planned construction area of 33,250 m², located at Krišjāņa Barona iela 75, 75A, and Tērbatas iela 78B. • SIA “PBR”, recognized for their two-building design, covering a total area of 21,360 m², at Krišjāņa Barona iela 75B and Tērbatas iela 78C. The competition attracted 26 applications from across Europe, including Latvia, Estonia, Switzerland, Germany, the UK, and Poland. Six outstanding firms advanced to the second round to propose solutions that seamlessly blend high-quality architecture with the historical and urban context of Riga’s cityscape. 💬 Ülo Adamson, co-founder and CEO of Estera Development, shared: “We are very pleased with the high quality of work in this competition. We’re eager to bring these ideas to life, creating a modern residential quarter where sustainable architecture meets green courtyards and urban allotments.”

Estera Development invites interested parties to apply for participation in an open, international architectural design competition with invited participants "Development of the city block "Tērbatas dārzs"" in Riga. The purpose of the competition is to obtain an architecturally high-quality solution for residential buildings and mixed building facades in the Riga quarter between Tērbatas, Krišjāna Barona, Lielgabala and Artilērijas streets, in accordance with the principles and traditions of the construction of the historical center of Riga, as well as to choose a cooperation partner for the development of the minimal construction project.
