🌍 Exposure Visit and Agri Food Days Brussels Experts from the Regional Expert Advisory Working Group (REAWG) on AG Policy and Organic production participated at the Exposure visit in Brussels #Belgium from 9 – 13 December, 2024.🌱🤝 The objective of the visit was to participate at the annual Agri Food Days event organized by the European Commission to discuss and familiarize with the Agriculture Outlook of the European Union and to discuss the agriculture policy issues with their colleagues from organizations and institutions from Belgium. This annual event brings together agri-food system stakeholders, civil society, consumers, academia and policymakers from across the EU. They discussed the latest agricultural trends, policy options, market developments, as well as how research, innovation and digital technologies are shaping European agriculture of today and tomorrow. Participants had a chance to discuss with the representatives of the different DG and present the work of the REAWGs and recent publications on Agriculture Policy Monitoring, Organic Production and Climate Change Adaptation. The activity is implemented as part of the project Agricultural Policy Dialogue Germany – SEE, financed by the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture #BMEL, coordinated by GFA Consulting Group GmbH as the general agent of BMEL, and implemented by SWG RRD - Standing Working Group for Regional Rural Development in SEE. The 4th Interim Meeting of the Regional Expert Advisory Working Group (REAWG) on #LEADER brought together representatives from SWG member states to evaluate the progress of the LEADER approach implementation across the #WesternBalkans. National experts and ministry representatives shared updates, progress reports, and insights aligned with the LEADER Road Maps. 📈 A regional synthesis report was also presented, offering key recommendations to further strengthen LEADER implementation in the region. The meeting concluded with productive discussions aimed at finalizing strategies and outlining next steps to support rural development through community-led initiatives. 🤝 #seeruralbalkans #Leaderapproach #ruraldevelopment

The 15th Interim Meeting of the REAWG on Wine is being held in the period 10th – 13th December 2024 in Belgrade, Serbia. The REAWG brought together key stakeholders to discuss the risks and challenges in viticulture and wine production for the 2024 vintage. Topics included updates on the 2024 wine production season, regional cooperation in the wine sector, and the latest EU and OIV regulations. The program also features discussions on climate change impacts on viticulture, innovative technologies for vineyard management, and sustainability certifications in wine marketing. Participants had the pleasure to attend the International Scientific Conference on “Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Development” organized as part of the ceremonial event commemorating the 75th Anniversary Ceremony of the Institute of Agricultural Economics in Belgrade (IAE) and experience the prestigious Wine Masters 2024 event, showcasing wines rated 90-100 points at the Belgrade Wine Salon. #seeruralbalkans #apd_see #viticulture #sustainablewine 🍇 #regionalcooperation

📢61st SWG Assembly Session is underway in Budapest & Kecskemét #Hungary 📅 26-29 of December 2024 SWG Delegates from SWG member and observer countries/territories gathered in Budapest and Kecskemét, Hungary under the hospitality of the Ministry of Agriculture of Hungary in order to discuss the accomplishment of the SWG RRD - Standing Working Group for Regional Rural Development in SEE operations in the period January - December 2024, actions and measures which should be taken for implementation of the outcomes from the SWG major events i.e. Agricultural Policy Forum 2024 and 18th Annual Meeting of the Ministers from SEE 2024. The SWG Assembly discussed the policy aspects related to agriculture and rural development in the context of the #GreenAgenda 🌿 for the #WesternBalkans, and the significance of the #BerlinProcess.
