On 28th November, as part of the VERITAS-Taylor’s Tropical High-Rise Studio initiative, VERITAS Associate Yi Zhi Yew , Senior Architect Daryl Law, and Architects Nurin Qistina and Sharifah Amirah Syed actively participated in the critique panel. They engaged with the students’ innovative proposals, providing in-depth feedback and sharing their professional expertise on tropical high-rise design. Their insights were invaluable in guiding the students to refine their concepts to address practical, sustainable, and aesthetic architectural considerations.

On 25th November 2024, VERITAS Architects Sdn. Bhd. hosted a Design Charette in collaboration with Taylor’s University at its headquarters in Wangsa 118, Kuala Lumpur. The event featured 40 graduating Part 1, Semester 6 architecture students, providing them with an opportunity to engage directly with industry professionals. A highlight of the session was the PechaKucha presentations, where 11 students showcased their projects through a concise and impactful format—20 slides, 20 seconds per slide. Mentored by VERITAS leaders including Senior Associate Ar. Dr. Miguel A. Robles, Associate Farah Y., Architects Ridhwan Ahmad and Qawiem Yusman, the event exemplified the VERITAS-Taylor’s partnership aimed at fostering industry engagement, equipping students with practical insights, and attracting emerging talent to the firm.

Michael Tan delivered an insightful presentation at the "Advanced Project Controls" conference organized by Trueventus at the Majestic Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. His session, titled "Learning from Star Residences: Early Procurement Strategies in Cutting Cost and Time," highlighted practical approaches to streamlining project execution. Key topics included strategic early procurement, focusing on initiating procurement processes during the early stages of a project to reduce costs and avoid delays, and vendor and supplier engagement, emphasizing the importance of fostering strong relationships to secure timely delivery of quality resources. He also covered Optimized Project Scheduling, detailing methods to enhance scheduling efficiency for better project outcomes.

On 18th November, VERITAS Senior Associate Miguel Robles presented “Principles for Resilient Design in Architecture” at the Construction Excellence 7th Annual Conference in Singapore. He highlighted VERITAS’ innovative approach to designing buildings that anticipate and adapt to challenges such as natural disasters, resource limitations, and societal shifts.
