Access to quality health insurance remains a significant challenge for many, and one of the biggest barriers is the limited coverage of health insurance services. Whether it's due to geographic location, employment status, income level, or other factors, the lack of inclusive coverage creates a divide that prevents many Nigerians from accessing the care they need. Notably, the Ekiti State Health Insurance Scheme covers different kinds of health needs for persons who fall within the vulnerable population including children, the aged, and sickle cell warriors. #universalhealthcoverage #insurance #ekitixnssf

We are pleased to announce our partnership with the Ekiti State Government to improve the utilisation of health insurance services in the state. In Nigeria, health insurance coverage remains extremely low with only a small percentage of the population having formal coverage. As the country continues to face growing health challenges ranging from infectious diseases to non-communicable diseases, expanding access to affordable and quality healthcare should be a priority. The National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) was established to provide Nigerians with the safety net they need to access healthcare without financial hardship.
