  Meet Tamara Veldboer: Driving Circularity at Companies   Tamara joined Circle Economy in February 2019, bringing her educational foundation from Erasmus University Rotterdam and Nyenrode Business University, along with consulting experience from Deloitte and Accenture. As a Director in the team, she is passionate about merging her business background with sustainability, helping companies adopt circular practices, and shifting mindsets towards valuing what truly matters.   She loves the moments when everything comes together in the visioning workshops that are a milestone in every project—creativity, curiosity, and conviction by all participants that creates the spirit for making real change in their day-to-day work. At the same time, she knows the barriers standing in the way: overcoming misconceptions, breaking through entrenched, wasteful practices, and pushing for the long-term value of sustainability amidst ruling short-term business priorities.   Outside of work, Tamara explores the world of wine, enjoys cultural activities, and loves discovering new places, dancing and doing yoga. Our team recently visited Oman as part of an innovational project, delving into the topic of circularity with Be’ah At the 'visioning workshop,' we identified opportunities within the Municipal Solid Waste Stream, and designed localised experiments to increase its circularity. Our visit to the Barka landfill, an engineered landfill that is an example in the region, highlighted the pressing need for upstream circular solutions, including source separation, awareness campaigns, and policy implementation for sustainable practices. To preserve the beauty of Oman for generations to come, we are committed to collaborate with the passionate team of Be’ah and other stakeholders to push for circular solutions. It was a pleasure and a privilege to visit and explore the diversity of the country and experience the hospitality of the people. We look forward to what’s on the horizon.
