And that’s a wrap! Helping others, volunteering our time and energy and donating money to causes we care deeply about is intrinsic to so many kiwis. The 12 Days of Giving Campaign has shined a light on many amazing ways we are already giving to each other, and we are so proud to have been able to do so. We want to thank all of the fantastic people and organisations that gave of their time and aroha to make this campaign a success. We also want to acknowledge the hundreds of thousands of people who give back every week, just because they know it’s the right thing to do. You make our country such a wonderful place to be. So, stay safe these holidays, enjoy your time with loved ones and watch this space in 2025 as we continue to showcase how giving is at the very core of Aotearoa New Zealand. The Simplicity Foundation is at the intersection between business and philanthropy, showing how organisations can leverage their resources to make a meaningful impact in communities. Simplicity KiwiSaver and Investment Fund members pay low fees which helps them save for their future, and they can also feel-good knowing that Simplicity passes 15% of its management fees to the Foundation which supports some great Kiwi charities. We had the privilege of speaking with Marisa Fong and Rebecca Roberts, who are at the heart of this incredible mahi. Have a listen! #12DaysofGiving #Philanthropy#GiveBack #MakeADifference

Today is International Volunteer Day, and we’re are delighted to showcase the great work Fair Food NZ does in West Auckland, and give a shout out to all of the 1000’s of people who volunteer their time to support Fair Food’s mahi. Every month, between 300-400 volunteers give their time and aroha at their kai tables and Conscious Kitchen to ensure rescued kai can become shared meals for those who need it most. Thanks so much to Michelle Blau and her tīma for sharing their story of giving, and for being such inspirational and hard-working humans 💛

So good we had to make two versions! We spoke with Scott Gilmour of I Have a Dream Charitable Trust NZ. His charity focuses on inspiring dreams and enabling futures for tamariki and rangatahi across Aotearoa. Through their programme, participants (known as Dreamers) are supported and mentored by Navigators throughout their school years and beyond. This ongoing support connects them to valuable education and employment opportunities. This is just a snippet of our conversation with Scott.
