Happy Monday! Just a little update on our ongoing project in Lincoln, where collaborating with our client was one of the key elements —it's their space, after all 😉! From the overall concept we have now gone into the furniture details and we love to see our scheme in action throughout the whole project! Last week, our senior designer Gert Van Dam had the wonderful opportunity to travel to Mykonos, alongside industry peers and experts, to attend Workspace_Meets symposia. From tours of Mykonos old town to enlightening talks led by design specialists to 7am yoga, he had an incredibly memorable time nourishing his own expertise and knowledge, bringing plenty of new facts and ideas back to us in Canary Wharf! From talks about lighting, how it affects us, and how we can use it in our designs, to the use of AI and our ethical response to it. The somewhat philosophical approach was refreshing and food for thought! Aside from the lovely panels and inspirational talks, it was great to be surrounded by people who share the same passion for design and it was valuable to hear about their projects and challenges. It provided a great learning opportunity to discover new approaches for growth and problem-solving. A massive thanks to all suppliers for showing their existing and new products during the one to one meetings. We look forward to starting specifying your products in upcoming projects! Throwback to last year's amazing 3equals1 Summer Party. It's crazy how time flies and we're almost here again!

The team went on site yesterday to work on the styling for one of our latest jobs that is close to final completion. From a space that lacked personality we have transformed our clients reception area into a warm and welcoming environment for visitors and workers to wait, meet and drink a cuppa.  We are waiting for the last pieces of furniture to be delivered and installed. We think we have finally recovered from the incredible Clerkenwell Design Week. After three solid days of meetings, talks and showrooms we saw some fantastic items. If you missed all the fun here’s some of our favourite finds. 1st up are the new range of tiles from Domus Group called ‘La Pietra Compattata’. Designed to enable the transformation of waste into a new hard surface material offering advanced technical performance, La Pietra Compattata tiles are created through an environmentally friendly process using recycled natural raw materials. Great for the environment and we just love the beautiful rustic look and multiple colour options. 2nd on our list is Nature Connect by Signify. A new lighting solution that mimics daylight and replicates a view to the sky using light scenes that boost energy levels and help windowless spaces feel in sync with nature. We were blown away by the demonstration of this and cant wait to see it implemented in future projects. 3rd is the Hag Capisco from Flokk UK. We know this one’s been around a while but we are still enjoying the versatility of a chair that can be adjusted between low and high working positions. It also goes all the way up to a standing position, which enables you to be more dynamic in your movements while still sitting in a balanced position. 4th is the new low voltage track lighting system from Rotaliana. Based on the Greek skewer of grilled meat the ‘Souvlaki’ uses the track as its skewer and the multitude of lighting, speakers and decorative options as its ingredients. 5th is easily the most comfortable chair we sat on over the whole week at CDW. The Float by GreyFox. Its cool design coupled with the ability to spin 360 degrees and its novel design make it a sure fire winner! And we couldn’t go without mentioning the incredible afterparty at Tarkett with the legendary dj DJ Yoda. Some sore heads on Friday but he delivered a masterclass in party tunes to close out another successful year ay Clerkenwell Design Week.
