Congratulations to Ashe Roofing for receiving this fantastic feedback at Colnbrook School🎉 Lucy, School Business Manager said: “Rory and his team were excellent, and flexible to work with the needs of the school. This was of upmost importance, as a special school our children do not cope well with change, and safety needs to be increased.” Well done to Rory and the team! #AsheGroup #buildingbetter #roofing

  • We’ve recently completed work on an eight-phase project at Shipston High School in Warwickshire which forms part of a major redevelopment plan to give the 1980s school buildings a new lease of life. Procured under the Pagabo medium works framework, six new labs have been created, complete with new worktops, integrated Bunsen burners, fume cupboard and gas shut off valve, to provide improved science teaching facilities at the school, with other subject areas also having a refresh. • It’s National Apprenticeship Week and we thought we’d catch up with apprentice construction site supervisor Gulsheer Khan after his first year with Ashe to see how he’s doing. Find out which departments he’s been working in as part of his rotation to experience every aspect of the construction process and why time management is the most important thing he’s learnt this year:https://lnkd.in/encyRTsR #AsheGroup #buildingbetter #NAW2025

Ashe stands down for safety initiative Work came to a standstill on all Ashe Group sites for an hour this week for an innovative safety initiative. The special event, Stand Down for Safety, devised by Ashe’s health and safety team, involved everyone in the company stopping work for an hour to watch a presentation live streamed to all of Ashe’s construction sites and offices. A presentation was given by one of the UK’s most inspirational speakers, Jason Anker MBE, who was paralysed from the waist down due to an avoidable accident on a construction site when he was just 24 years old. Statistics released by the Health and Safety Executive recently revealed a rise in fatalities in the construction industry with 51 fatal injuries to workers in the year to March 2024, an increase on an average of 42 deaths per year during the previous five years. The sobering figures also revealed 47,000 construction workers sustained non-fatal injuries at work during the same period. Jason told the story of his life after falling 10 feet from an untethered ladder whilst undertaking roofing works on a construction site. https://lnkd.in/ebxdCWwk
