💫Along the well-trodden path of festive graphics it's hard to do things differently, yet maintain the quintessential Christmas-spirit that everyone loves! Well we had a go when our client John Lewis Of Hungerford asked us to help them launch their end of year promotion. 🌟🌲 They wanted to let all prospective customers know that in the days leading up to the holidays there's a sackful of wonderful gifts🎁to give away when a new order is placed. So Bluesoup devised an animated advent calendar that is cleverly revealed behind the doors of a John Lewis of Hungerford pantry. 💫🚪 The teaser sequence shows off the beautiful craftsmanship of this furniture and, in true Narnia-esque style, lets the viewer into their ‘Fabulous Festive Draw’. It’s unashamedly jingle bells meets luxury living! 🔔🌲 💫🌟Every day on social media another window opens accompanied with glitter and sparkles. ✈️ ⛱️ Bluesoup’s Head of Digital, Emily Walton, attended the ABTA Conference in November to learn about upcoming trends in the travel industry. It turns out that 2024 was a big year for travel, with 84% of people taking a holiday, and an average of 3.9 holidays taken per person! 📈 In spite of the ongoing cost of living crisis, 2025 data gives a promising outlook for the travel industry: 68% intend to go abroad with  53% planning a trip in the UK. 🌍✈️ Additional takeaways reminded us to market to people’s interests – not their ages. And that luxury matters across all ages (an impressive 47% of GenZ travelled to 5* accommodation in 2024).🌟 In 2024, activity holidays, outdoor adventure and solo travelling were the highest growing market segments. In 2025, couples holidays, solo travellers, and cruises look set to dominate trends. 🛳️👫 Do these trends ring true for  you? 🎅🎄 Christmas festivities were in full throttle for Bluesoup last Friday! The day began at Land Rover Experience 🚘 with some team-building antics, followed by high-adrenaline fun navigating the challenging woodland terrains in Discoveries and Defenders (with a little help from some amazing instructors - huge thanks to the team at Land Rover Experience!🙌). We then swapped mud for sparkle and kick-started the Christmas festivities in style with dinner, dancing, and lots of laughs at Sandy Park in Exeter. 💃✨ Big shoutout to Ben, Steve, and Charlotte for organising an epic end-of-year knees-up. It's that time of year again! What a wonderful day and evening out we had for our annual Christmas do. A bit of a wrap of of 2024, then onto the Land Rover Experience driving session....which was amazing! Then last and of course not least, the evening session. Thank to Sandy Park for hosting us. Here's to just as an exciting 2025.

Adventures with Bramble Gower: 9th November 2024 🏃♀️🐕 Our resident office dog, Bramble, took her owner, Emily Walton, on a 10k endurance run in the Gower peninsular at the start of November. It was an extremely cold day with the first bite of winter making an appearance, but that didn’t bother Bramble, who was raring to go! Both crossed the finish line, and Emily, still full of energy, managed to celebrate with a rather chilly surf at Rhossili, with Bramble watching from the sidelines. 🏅🏄♀️ Emily's take: “Not everyone enters the Canicross element of these races, but I run the majority of races with Bramble. It’s like being attached to a tank!” Bramble’s opinion: "My human, Emily, rolled her ankle after about 2 miles, so we had to stop for a rest. I wasn't particularly impressed - it was early on in the run, and quite frankly, she slowed me down”. The dynamic duo is looking for their next cani-race, so please let us know if you have any to recommend. They’re already participants in the Woolacombe Dunes Park run, apparently one of the hardest in the UK! Footnote: Bramble’s friend and fellow office dog, Rex, and his human Tom W. are also in training to compete in some races… watch this space! #officedog #happyworkers #endurancerunning
