About us
COH Baines was established in 1939, in Liverpool, England by Charles Oswald Henry Baines and his wife, Emily. A family run business, COH started life as a supplier of motor vehicle spare parts that contained rubber elements. By the 1960’s, COH was supplying patented rubber weatherstrips to a multitude of industries including, coach and ship building, engineering, aerospace and the sciences. Significant growth ensued and to support these endeavours, a second site in Kent was opened to help service demand for products on a national basis. Firstly, in Tonbridge and then later, in Tunbridge Wells, where our Sales Office remains to this day. 2020 saw the business return to its home roots of Liverpool where we established a UK central warehousing hub, with great road, rail and airport networks on our doorstep, we are supporting the Supply Chain of our domestic and international customers with a world class service offering. Maintaining our family values with a collective knowledge in excess of 70 years, the COH Baines Sales team are industry and application experts who have built long term relationships with our customers, providing product and service solutions to meet the demands of today in some of the most diverse industries. Turning Waste into Playgrounds and 3G Pitches! ♻️ At COH, we recycle our EPDM rubber into products that benefit our communities. The black granules in the image are made from our recycled rubber, used as infill for 3G football pitches and creating durable surfaces for school playgrounds. By repurposing rubber waste into safe, high-performance materials, we’re reducing our environmental footprint and giving back to local communities in a meaningful way. 🌍 #TurningWasteIntoPlay #Sustainability #EPDM #RubberRecycling #EcoFriendly #3GFootballPitches #SchoolPlaygrounds #GreenSolutions

Ever wondered how much latex a single rubber tree can yield over a year? 🤔 It might surprise you! On average, a rubber tree produces around 8.6kg of latex annually – that’s about the weight of a large bowling ball! 🎳 But this can vary depending on factors like the tree's age, climate, and even how it’s tapped. With proper care, these trees can keep producing latex for 25 to 30 years, making them a long-term source of natural latex. 🌱🌍 #FunFact #RubberTree #RubberProduction #UKRubber
