📣 A major milestone for Muir Mhòr Offshore Wind Farm 📣 After extensive consultation with local communities and stakeholders, we have submitted our offshore and onshore consent applications for determination. We are proud to be the first fully floating offshore wind farm from the ScotWind leasing process to reach this point. This is hugely significant, not just for our team who have worked so hard to get here, but for Scotland and the rest of the UK. Muir Mhòr is on its way to becoming one of the world’s first commercial scale floating offshore wind projects. We are very excited to see what the future holds. What a fantastic event hosted by the Swedish Chamber of Commerce for the UK. Procurement Manager Stephen Kennedy joined the panel and shared insights on sustainable procurement alongside other industry experts. #SCCUK #SCCSwedishBusinessFootprint #Scotland #Network #SwedishBritish #Event #SwedenUK #Glasgow
🇸🇪 🇬🇧 What a day in Glasgow! First of all, a massive thank you to Filament STAC - Smart Things Accelerator Centre for hosting us at your incredible space – and for that brilliant sign reminding us that “innovation knows no bounds.” Swedish innovation certainly doesn’t, and definitely not in the UK. From green energy to cutting-edge tech, we’re thrilled to see how Swedish businesses are driving progress across Scotland. With insights from Scottish Development International on inward investment in offshore wind, Aira on regional energy strategy, Vattenfall on renewable technology, Muir Mhòr Offshore Wind Farm Limited on sustainable procurement, The Scottish Government and Glasgow City Council on fostering future growth, and The Polar Academy on talent retention, the range of expertise in the room was electric. And of course, a special nod to Jenny Karlsson from Ardnamurchan Distillery (Adelphi Distillery ltd) for bringing along some Swedish-Scottish whisky magic – because could we really host an event in Scotland without it? A huge thank you to all our fantastic speakers, our partners at Embassy of Sweden London, UK and the British Embassy in Stockholm, and all our guests for joining us. We look forward to more collaboration and innovation to come! #SCCUK #SCCSwedishBusinessFootprint #Scotland #Network #SwedishBritish #Event #SwedenUK #Glasgow
