Solving Together
Hospitals and Health Care
A collaboration supporting the NHS to tackle some of our biggest challenges. An NHS England initiative.
About us
The Solving Together team supports the NHS to tackle some of our biggest challenges by bringing together people with different perspectives to share experiences, solutions and ideas. We connect people who have diverse knowledge, experience and expertise, including staff in health and care (clinicians and non-clinicians), patients (and their families, carers and support networks) and the wider public. We help create solutions that are fair, accessible and inclusive for all. Collectively the team brings national, regional, system, local and international expertise of crowdsourcing approaches including co-production, building communities, social influence, and online collaboration. Solving Together is an NHS England initiative hosted by the Transformation Directorate.

Thank you Donna O'Brien at SeeAbility for sharing this idea about making eye care available for all. "Sight problems are the most common comorbidity that people with learning disabilities experience. There is a 'double whammy' in that levels of sight loss rise even further with severity of learning disability... some of these patients may not be able to say there is an issue, meaning there is a risk of "diagnostic overshadowing." " How can we help people with learning disabilities get the support to access sight care services that they need? A big thank you to Alex Gibson, Data & Licensing Analyst at NHS.netConnect, who's sharing his story for #TimeToTalkDay ⬇️ "When I was 11 years old, I was in a car accident that left me teaching myself how to walk again. It was a devastating blow – I had to give up playing rugby, which I loved, and my confidence was completely knocked. For a long time, I didn’t think I was a physically capable person. I realised recently how big of an impact my accident had on the rest of my life, and I reached out for help with our employee assistance programme. I was able to speak with a counsellor and those conversations helped to trigger a seismic shift in my life." Read more: https://lnkd.in/ekDR6Whw #TimeToTalk
