Championing excellence in UK jazz talent, with a focus on #Black talent and #female musicians #diversity #IAmWarrior

About us

Established in 1991 by Dr Gary Crosby OBE and Janine Irons OBE, Tomorrow’s Warriors is a leading creative producer, talent development agency, music educator and consultancy specialising in jazz. We have a track record of success working nationally and internationally with some of the most exciting, most diverse new, emerging and established jazz artists in the UK. Artist alumni include Shabaka Hutchings/Sons Of Kemet, Soweto Kinch, Eska, Denys Baptiste, Binker & Moses, Nerija, Ezra Collective, Nubya Garcia and more. We are a non-profit and have an ongoing residency at London's Southbank Centre. We are proud to be a National Portfolio Organisation of Arts Council England and a PRS Foundation Talent Development Partner. As creative producers we have a busy and diverse artistic programme ranging from one-off gigs to national and international tours, working with professional artists, bands, promoters and festivals. We are creative producers for Jazz Jamaica All Stars, StringTing and Nu Civilisation Orchestra and work with other leading jazz artists on specially-commissioned projects. Our extensive, in-demand Young Artist Development Programme is hosted at Southbank Centre and delivers over 450 workshops and performances each year. Our ambitious music education outreach programmes are innovative and exciting, and are highly regarded by our partners and participants. As music consultants we bring authenticity and authority to creative projects, delivering quality and value for money for our clients. Diversity is at the heart of all we do. Though we have a primary focus on black and female artists, our inclusive approach to talent and audience development ensures everyone is welcome and can draw benefit from our work. We love to collaborate and enjoy building authentic partnerships with artists, promoters, venues and institutions that create real and lasting impact. We look forward to working with you!

So once again, THANK YOU! Thank you for your support and thank you for helping us build new communities through music. Click the link to find out more and donate today: https://lnkd.in/eFWSdtZ5 A GRIME SUPREME explores and creates connections between grime and jazz. With your support we want to develop this new route to inspiring artistic collaborations, building stronger cultural communities that can overcome the musical, social and cultural barriers experienced by young people today. Thank you! #musicdevelopment #BuildingCommunity #jazz

  • Tomorrow's Warriors Big Give #ChristmasChallenge is now LIVE! We need your support to raise £7500 in public donations in just one week, and bring our groundbreaking outreach programme, A GRIME SUPREME to London. Click this link for full details including how to donate: https://lnkd.in/eFWSdtZ5 Every £ you donate will be DOUBLED by the Big Give. So, whatever you can donate will make DOUBLE the DIFFERENCE. A GRIME SUPREME explores and creates connections between grime and jazz. With your support we want to develop this new route to inspiring artistic collaborations, building stronger cultural communities that can overcome the musical, social and cultural barriers experienced by young people today. We ran our first pilot of A GRIME SUPREME at the Southbank in 2022 and, since then, we have successfully taken the programme to Gloucester and Hull, inspiring the next generation of young musicians and building new musical communities. Cuts to youth services and music education budgets have created a deeper social divide and widened the ‘cultural gap’, emphasising the impact of postcode and financial circumstances. With your help we want to close that gap and deliver the full A GRIME SUPREME programme in London for the first time. Help make us deliver a difference, supporting young people to achieve their creative dreams and building new communities through music. Thank you!

  • This week is national #trusteesweek – a time when the charity sector comes together to celebrate the hard work of nearly one million trustees across the UK. “Trustees don’t just play a vital role in overseeing the governance of charities like Tomorrow’s Warriors, ensuring they are properly managed and stay on track. They also bring with them immense experience, both professional and personal. They advocate for the charity, they help steer, they challenge, and sometimes they’re just there as a friendly voice when you need one. Their work is voluntary and often carried out behind the scenes, often unsung. But we couldn't do without them. We are so fortunate and grateful to have fantastic Trustees, who bring such a broad range of experience, skills, and knowledge to our table. So, on behalf of all the Tomorrow's Warriors family, I extend a huge THANK YOU to our trustees for being so awesome!” Janine Irons OBE #charities #teamwork #advocacy #iamwarrior
