  • We’re proud to be supporting the RAF Central Fund to deliver sporting opportunities to serving personnel in 2025. Chloe Barker, Managing Director of Babcock’s UK Aviation business, said: “We have a long-standing relationship with the Royal Air Force (RAF), working closely with them to deliver their air power capabilities, as well as providing employment opportunities for service leavers and reservists. “This partnership with the RAF Central Fund not only reinforces our relationship, but enables us to further strengthen our support by enabling serving RAF personnel to learn and develop new skills, access exciting opportunities and overcome challenges and adversity. The RAF Central Fund is delighted to announce that after a successful first year, Babcock - Aviation Sector, the defence and aerospace company, has agreed to continue its partnership as a proud supporter of RAF Sport into 2025. The support of Babcock, marks a significant positive impact to serving personnel across a wide range of sports in which the RAF participate, coach and officiate. In addition to supporting RAF Sport as a whole, Babcock will continue to be proud supporters of RAF Hockey, RAF Football, RAF Cycling and for the first time, RAF Angling. CEO of the RAF Central Fund, Ross Perriam commented: “Sponsorship for RAF Sport from organisations such as Babcock is vital to the provision of physical activity in the RAF that is enjoyed by so many. Thanks to this collaboration, even more personnel will now be able to benefit as a direct result of this extended support. The funding Babcock provide will go towards kit and equipment required to play sport safely and enjoyably. It also helps to support the delivery of new-member engagement activities, development training and all-important tournaments and championships – whether that is RAF stations playing against each other, inter-service level competitions or even at elite level events. We are also delighted that RAF Sport enters into a genuine two-way relationship and we in turn look forward to helping to deliver value back to Babcock and its employees.” Chloe Barker, Managing Director of Babcock’s UK Aviation business, added: “We have a long-standing relationship with the RAF, working closely with them to deliver their air power capabilities, as well as providing employment opportunities for service leavers and reservists. This partnership with the RAF Central Fund not only reinforces our relationship, but enables us to further strengthen our support by enabling serving RAF personnel to learn and develop new skills, access exciting opportunities and overcome challenges and adversity. Importantly, it also provides personnel space to focus on their physical and mental wellbeing.” The RAF Central Fund is a charity which supports 54 sports associations and over 14,000 service personnel in developing their full potential through sport and physical activities.
