About us

In the rapidly evolving landscape of technology, women, although immensely talented, often find themselves in the minority, especially in specialised fields such as cybersecurity and AI. Recognising the importance of these women, the "Academy of Brilliant Cyber Women (ABC Women)" afternoon series was established in 2024 by Alsa Tibbit, an expert in AI and Cyber Security, and Dr. Tooska Dargahi, an Associate Professor in Cyber Security at Manchester Metropolitan University. This initiative is designed to foster community, networking, and empowerment amongst women in tech. ABC Women aims to create a bi-annual event facilitating networking, mentorship, and knowledge sharing for women in cybersecurity, AI, and related fields. This gathering is more than just an afternoon event; it's a movement in the Northwest of England.
