My heart is bursting looking at photos from our Budist Friendsgiving last night! Our goal was to celebrate the people and producers doing outstanding work in California, and that we did. Follow @Budist_Official on Instagram to see behind the scenes photos how we brought together the culinary, beverage, & cannabis worlds for an evening of connoisseurship and community at PleasureMed in West Hollywood, which in my opinion, is one of the most stunning consumption lounges in America. We are on a mission to honor the plant the way it deserves to be. The biggest, warmest thank you to the featured brands and partners that helped make the evening a smashing success: Heritage Hash Co, PoundCakes Farms, PAX, Rosin Tech Labs, Nasha Extracts Nasha Hash, Jetty Extracts, Terpene Belt Farms, Three Spirit, CQ Drinks, Autumn Brands, KANHA, Scratch Baked, Pacific Stone, Enriquez Estate Wines, and Fat Nugs Magazine.

We can't wait to see you tonight at Friendsgiving!

View profile for Jocelyn Sheltraw, graphic

We sold out tonight’s Budist Friendsgiving, however, given the overwhelming enthusiasm, we’ve opened up one more table with four seats available for any last-minute friends in LA who would like to attend. Our goal in creating this experience is to bridge the worlds of culinary, beverage, and cannabis, and we’ve curated a very special evening to showcase fifteen producers doing exceptional work in California. Several of our Budists will be on hand serving as cannabis sommeliers, guiding guests through each pairing and sharing the unique stories behind the highlighted products. Take a look at the menu, explore the featured brands, and see how we’re elevating the cannabis experience to excite and inspire new consumers about its possibilities. We can’t wait to see everyone tonight—or at a future event, as we’ve got plenty in the works! More detail and tickets here: https://bit.ly/4fpRoN4

    Founder/Editor-at-Large Fat Nugs Magazine

Excited AF to make this announcement! This year Fat Nugs Magazine has been lucky enough to work off and on with Jocelyn Sheltraw and Claudio Miranda. Going all the way back to their official launch of Budist at Sunstone Winery and then again at the California State Fair Cannabis Awards. I've personally enjoyed watching them build a community around connoisseurship and think what they're doing will only continue to grow as cannabis consumption becomes more and more mainstream. That's why it's an honor to have our very own Terpene Whisper, Daniel Crawford join them, Fruit + Flower Co. and Culture Cannabis Club later this week in West Hollywood at PleasureMed for Friendsgiving! Good food, good people, and a great atmosphere to break bread and consume cannabis with like-minded colleagues, friends and peers. To learn more about it and even join in on the festivities, follow the link: https://lnkd.in/efijJrep I'm pretty jealous I won't be there myself, so I'll be living vicariously through Daniel. And a big shoutout to Jocelyn and Claudio for including us, I know Daniel is going to love it!

What wendy zeng said... Culinary cannabis is not all about getting people high. We create experiences for people to feel empowered and form new associations around the plant. Sonoma Hills Farm is a full circle farm to table chef's playground, a one-of-a-kind weed and wine country dream.

Blog is live - come join us in building a culture of connoisseurship!

View profile for Jocelyn Sheltraw, graphic

    Co-Founder & CEO of Budist

Woohoo! We launched the Budist blog, and I’m very excited! This has been a long-awaited milestone, and I’m proud to share it with our community. Since our public debut in California seven months ago, we’ve been learning, growing, and evolving—and this blog launch is just the beginning of a big journey ahead. Together with our team of Budists, we’re pioneering a movement to elevate the conversation around the plant and create a culture of true connoisseurship. We’re on a mission to build a foundation of knowledge and appreciation that will redefine how cannabis is experienced, respected, and celebrated. We’re doing this through product reviews on the Budist app, tasting events, and now through our blog. In just the past seven months, we’ve hosted 25 events, with gatherings ranging from intimate 30-person tastings to crowds of 1,200 people. Each event is a new opportunity to engage deeply with the plant, and they’ve taught us so much about the power of shared experience. Our tastings, led by our dedicated Budist team, go beyond a typical review: we assess, explore, and celebrate each product together, discovering nuances and calibrating off each other’s palates. One of our biggest takeaways so far is that there’s no common language to describe cannabis. Many people aren’t yet confident talking about it, and as a society, we’re just starting to learn how to communicate the beauty of the plant’s complexity. That’s what our blog will address—bringing together trusted voices to develop a shared language and to push forward a deeper understanding. Come join us on this journey—let’s bring cannabis into a new light and honor the craft, dedication, and artistry behind it. Read more here: https://bit.ly/4fmmzJI
