🌟 This Giving Tuesday, Join Us in Empowering Women and BIPOC Founders 🌟 At Build Up, Inc., we are a nonprofit fiscal sponsor and capacity builder dedicated to supporting women and BIPOC leaders in launching and growing impactful endeavors that strengthen invisibilized communities. As a nonprofit fiscal sponsor and capacity builder, we provide the resources, expertise, guidance, and network development to facilitate transforming their visions into reality. Here’s how we make a difference: ✅ Streamlining operations through fiscal sponsorship so women leaders and BIPOC founders can increasingly focus exclusively on their nonprofit mission. ✅ Delivering workshops on essential skills like fundraising, capacity building, lobbying, and strategic planning. ✅ Offering tailored support and building a community that uplifts powerful and talented, yet underrepresented leaders. Want to learn more? Check out these recent highlights of our work: ➡️https://lnkd.in/ehzXihrm A spotlight on Lioness: JIWA, one of our sponsored projects making waves in their community supporting the rights of incarcerated women and girls in Texas. ➡️https://lnkd.in/ewxSZS7Y A deep dive into Apogeo Collective, another one of our sponsored projects that provides a rest haven for LGBTQ+ BIPOC community leaders. 🎧 Listen to our story: https://lnkd.in/esh9AwTw — The Build Up, Inc. team dives into our mission and why supporting women and BIPOC leaders is critical. Your support today fuels this work, ensuring more women and BIPOC-led community efforts (and the people who execute on behalf of these charitable missions) can thrive. Together, we can create a nonprofit sector that’s equitable, inclusive, and impactful. 🤝 Support our goal of raising $1,000 this Giving Tuesday: https://lnkd.in/gf9Cg_XP Thank you for being part of this movement for constructive change. #BuildUpCompanies #BuildUpInc #GivingTuesday #NonprofitSupport #WomenLeaders #BIPOCFounders #FiscalSponsorship

This Thanksgiving, we at Build Up Companies take time to reflect on gratitude, community, and the values that guide our work. We are grateful for the opportunity to work to break cycles of injustice and inequity by advocating for the rights of vulnerable groups. We renew our deep respect for and solidarity with Indigenous communities, in particular, recognizing that this holiday carries complex and often painful histories. We further reaffirm our commitment to building an equitable future that respects and uplifts all people. Our mission to interrupt cycles of injustice is guided by our core values: bravery, the pursuit of excellence, lifelong learning, and a dedication to true relationship-building. As we work to foster equity and justice, we’re inspired to show up authentically and stand for meaningful change, even when the work is challenging. This season, we extend our gratitude to our partners, clients, and the communities we serve. Together, we’re creating a world where gratitude is more than a feeling—it’s an active commitment to justice, respect, and the well-being of every community.

We’re Taking a Moment to Reflect and Recharge 🧡 The BUC team will be fully offline during U.S. Thanksgiving Week to spend time with loved ones and allowing our team to reflect on gratitude. We’ll be back Monday December 2nd, ready to continue making an impact together. Wishing you a warm and joyful Thanksgiving!

Last September, our Senior Counsel & Vice President of Strategic Planning, Ajani Husbands, served as a speaker at the 1st Annual Global Artivism Conference in Pretoria, South Africa. The Global Artivism Conference is sponsored in part by our TCLF client Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors. Ajani spoke on the intersection between artists, nonprofits, and intellectual property rights. Given that nonprofits often engage with artists either on a contractual or a grantmaking basis, it is imperative for all parties to understand intellectual property rights and how they operate under each type of agreement. Moreover, Ajani emphasized the importance of ensuring an equitable process that protects the interests of the nonprofit and the artist, and also ensures that artists understand their rights and are in a position to effectively advocate for their own needs. Thank you to RPA’s Henrietta Bankole-Olusina for moderating the discussion! And thank you to all the panelists who participated, and to all the attendees. We really enjoyed seeing the work of the amazing artists Chaos Turtle Creations and Musa Moya who created this mural live during the discussion! #artivism #artivismconference2024
