Thinking about the groovy times on set with Chef Jen Monroe of Bad Taste. Charcuterie kabobs, shrimp cocktail on pineapple platters, velvety cheese fondue, and of course, bright and boozy jellies, all for a night celebrating the colorful collaboration between J.Crew and Christopher John Rogers.

Resy’s year-end trend report is out! The trend this year that really hit home for me is how many diners said they value in-person connection – and restaurants are where they’re gathering to do that. To bring some of our NYC Resy community together, we hosted a cocktail party last night (one of those that only Resy and our partners know how to throw!) at #DoubleChickenPlease to bring the trends to life and toast what’s been an awesome year in #dining. Check out the full report in the Resy Newsroom and congrats to the team and the industry for an awesome year! Link to our 2024 Report: https://lnkd.in/ddHNmzBy

Earlier this week, the AvroKO Partners launched their latest self-propelled project, HOST on Howard, a gallery and gathering space designed to celebrate the world of hospitality, both as an industry and a philosophy—something core to AvroKO World's mission and company vision. Alongside our co-hosts for the evening, Care of Chan and Dante NYC, we feted with industry friends and colleagues to open the doors to our new space, and we're excited to share it with all of you now as well. We're officially live at hostonhoward.com and in person by appointment at 21 Howard Street, New York, NY. Come say hello! A special thank you to Linden Pride, Nathalie Hudson, and Sue S. Chan. We couldn't have done it without you! Stay tuned for more happenings at HOST in the coming weeks. Photos by: Krista Schlueter #toolsforgathering #hospitality #interiordesign #furniture #lighting

Last week, Away launched their limited edition holiday drop in a land far, far away: Bushwick. The sparkling Cosmic collection took centerstage at Xanadu, an out of this world roller disco with a super fly '70s soundtrack. Off the rink, guests enjoyed old school concessions (cosmic brownies!) and glistening drinks garnishe with cotton candy from Art of Sucre. Rhinestone artist Sarah Sparkles custom bedazzled mini crossbody bags for their next night out. Thank you to Away for being rockstars, Xanadu for hosting us, and Entriken for the dreamy florals. As always, a major shout-out to our team: Afoma M., Esther Robinsun-Abrams, Maggie Russell, Zach Marshall, and creative producer, Ruby Elmhirst. 📸 ℅ Kelsey Cherry

Whether it's a Sunday night potluck with your neighbors, an afternoon coffee with your coworker, or a picnic in the park with friends, there's no wrong way to build community over food. The Surgeon General recently published "Recipes for Connection," a free, downloadable booklet combining essays, thought-starters, and ideas for gathering to combat our nation's ongoing loneliness epidemic, effecting most Americans. Inspired by "Recipes for Connection," Care of Chan, along with help and support from our friends & family will launch Project Gather in January, a new platform that will provide additional resources and tools to gather more often over food. Read more about "Recipes for Connection" and Project Gather in Julia Moskin's article in The New York Times, found below. And visit ProjectGather.org to join us in 2025! #projectgather #recipesforconnection

Last week, J.Crew celebrated their latest collaboration with Christopher John Rogers at the newly opened BRASS, toasting the vintage-inspired collection with groovy neon jello shots. Guests flaunted their brightest reds and bold stripes for a playful evening of cocktails and canapes, with an on-point midcentury spread by Chef Jen Monroe of Bad Taste. From the rich cheese fondue in vibrant midcentury Dansk pots, to the cocktail olive garlands and cauliflower toy poodles, the night served as a reminder that life is better in color. Thank you to J.Crew, Christopher John Rogers, Bad Taste, BRASS, Kate Owen, Love Me Not Floral, DJ Young Wavy Fox, and our amazing team at Care of Chan: Dani Dillon, Esther Robinsun-Abrams, Kalisa Marie Levette, Maggie Russell, Marci DeLozier Haas, Olivia Johnson, and creative producer, Ruby Elmhirst. 📸 ℅ @thekateowen

Ahead of their annual Climate Forward conference, the The New York Times invited journalists and community advocates to tour Oko Farms, an urban farm in East Williamsburg using aquaponics to mitigate the impact of climate change and expand food security. They then joined chef Camille Becerra for a zero-waste dinner at public records, incorporating a variety of locally-sourced ingredients from Oko Farms and other growers in the region. As guests sipped on small batch kombucha and cider, the conversations with flowed freely, touching upon waste reduction practices and upcycling across industries. A special thanks to the New York Times, Camille Becerra, Oko Farms, Yemi Amu, Colleen Dodge, Public Records, Floral Terranes, and Unified Ferments. Of course, we couldn't have done this without our Care of Chan team: Lucy Angel Camarena, Olivia Johnson, Maggie Russell, Marci DeLozier Haas, and creative producer, Ruby Elmhirst. 📸 ℅ Jutharat (Poupay) Pinyodoonyachet
