Clearway was honored to host Congressman David Schweikert (AZ-1) at our Scottsdale office yesterday!   We had a great discussion about energy dominance, technology and innovation, and the importance of policy stability during this time of transformation. The Congressman also visited our operations center, where our crews monitor fleet performance 24/7, from coast to coast.   We are grateful for the Congressman’s “all of the above” approach to energy and look forward to working together on promoting energy reliability and security in the 119th Congress.

Last week, Clearway’s Wind Site Manager Douglas Vance and Lead Wind Technician James Adkins visited West Virginia lawmakers in Washington, D.C. to discuss the benefits that the wind industry is delivering to the Mountain State – including long-term community investments, millions of dollars in new tax revenue, and a multi-generation energy workforce.    Thank you to Rep. Riley Moore, Sen. Shelley Moore Capito, and Sen. Jim Justice for taking the time to meet with our team and talk about the importance of energy tax credits for West Virginia families and businesses.

More Texas wind is a win for consumers! Congratulations to #ACPMember Clearway Energy Group for completing the Cedro Hill Wind Farm repowering project in the Lone Star State. Repowering the project increased the wind farm’s capacity to 160 MW. Clearway’s repowered Cedro Hill in Texas is a prime example of how upgrading equipment increases a wind farm’s reliable energy generation and extends its local benefits in the community for decades to come. Last week, wind, solar, and energy storage – including Clearway’s 2.1 GW+ operating portfolio in Texas – were critical in keeping the power on through winter storms in the Lone Star State, providing over half the state’s power during peak demand. Clearway’s newly repowered 160 MW Cedro Hill wind farm in Webb County is the latest chapter in that story. The upgraded site generates enough electricity to power over 40,000 Texas homes a year and will drive an additional $27 million in the local community.
