We were delighted to host Dean Phillips at our Cub-Edina Store yesterday to meet our associates, our customers, and join us on our journey to improve access to food and healthcare care for our MN communities. Making food and vital medicine more accessible and affordable to all is our goal! Thank you to our industry partners — National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS), FMI- The Food Industry Association and National Grocers Association — for amplifying and supporting our advocacy efforts.

Cub leaders are standing up for community pharmacies. Last week, they joined Senate Finance Committee Chair Ron Wyden, D-Ore., and Ranking Member Mike Crapo R-Idaho in Washington D.C. in the call for the passage of bipartisan legislation to crack down on tactics from pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) that are driving up the cost of prescription drugs and forcing pharmacies across the country to close their doors. “PBM reform is critical to long term retail pharmacy sustainability, patient access, and low-cost medications. We need to do everything we can to help push for PBM Reform now and in the future,” shared Cub Vice President of Pharmacy, Aaron Sapp.

Finding Girl Scout Cookies is as easy as eating a sleeve of Thin Mints! 🍪 🍪 Just make a trip to your local Cub and support the Girl Scouts that set up cookie booths each Thursday through Sunday from now through March 24. We’re so thankful to our sustaining partner Cub for providing these opportunities for River Valleys Girl Scouts each season. ❤️ 💚 Fun fact—Cub hosts Girl Scout Troops at 73 of their locations in our area! What do T-Rex Cookies, Old Home yogurts and dips, Bigelow Tea, and Simek’s meatballs have in common? They’re all products of women-owned businesses. March 1st marks the start of Women’s History Month, a chance for us to honor the trailblazing women behind hundreds of products across out stores. Join us in saluting the contributions women make to the communities they serve, the businesses they build, and their products that make our lives delicious.

Black History Month begins February 1st and we take this month to celebrate the diversity of our customers, team members and community partners. We are thankful for the Black-owned businesses that supply our stores with popular products—brands like Glory Foods, SheaMoisture, Lefty's Spices, McBride Sisters Black Girl Magic and so many more.
