BUILDING SENSE OF BELONGING THROUGH ARTWORK We would like to turn your view to the city of Landeshauptstadt Kiel in Germany - our Cultural Pearl 2024, and the way they have used the potential of their #ccs to engage sensitive part of the community - grieving adolescents, in order to strengthen their sense of belonging to the place and help overcome hard times using the power of #creativity and #art. By the process of co-creation youngsters had the opportunity to get involved, express their ideas, and now something beautiful remains enabling at least small part of the city to call their own - a large graffiti in downtown Kiel inspired from youngster's designs, and executed by the graffiti studio Vanartizm and volunteers. New graffiti is located just around the corner of the place where the grieving adolescents association Trauernde Kinder Schleswig-Holstein is located, and they were able to express their feelings and thoughts about grief in this graffiti.
