Ford South Africa recently completed its promise of delivering 100 math and science labs to schools across the country. And they did it in less than a year! This is an impactful way for young students to access STEM education and inspire them to pursue careers in science, tech, engineering and mathematics. Thank you to Ford South Africa, Ford Philanthropy, Gift of the Givers Foundation, Maersk South Africa, and the Department of Basic Education for working together on this wonderful project that uplifts education and communities. #FordSA100 #FordMotorCompany #FordSouthAfrica

Traveling for the holidays? Make your journey easier with BlueCruise! See our #BlueCruiseHoliday predictions and trends below, and let us know if you use BlueCruise this holiday season!

General Manager, Ford BlueCruise | Startup advisor, founder, investor, BCG alum, Chicago Booth alum, Michigan Ross alum

The holiday travel season is kicking-off! AAA predicts a record 71.7 million people will hit the road this Thanksgiving. In 2023, #BlueCruise usage among Ford Motor Company and Lincoln owners increased 2.2% during this time when traveling on highways with access to BlueCruise aka Blue Zones. While people are hitting the highway to travel to see family and friends logging lots of hands-free highway miles – over the river and through the woods to see grandma – there is also less commuting back and forth to work during those days, which means fewer highway trips. In 2024, we predict we will see even more BlueCruise hands-free highway driving trips overall and during the holiday travel season since we have expanded the availability of BlueCruise across Ford and Lincoln vehicles this year. In fact, 68% of Ford owners we surveyed plan to take a trip during the holiday season and use BlueCruise to help make holiday travel, especially in heavy highway traffic, less stressful. Check out the #BlueCruiseHoliday trends our team pulled together and what we expect for the 2024 season! https://lnkd.in/g8yTXm7a

Vice President - Ford Motor Company - Americas Manufacturing and Labor Relations

There is tremendous power in sharing our motivations. Understanding what drives us creates momentum to move us forward, both as individuals and as a team. During the Great Lakes Bus Tour, we met team members from plants across the Midwest who shared why they’re a part of Ford — from helping others to being part of a legacy. Take a look at what Ford team members have to say about why they’re part of Ford: Longtime family connections. Helping others. Wanting to be part of something bigger than ourselves. The chance to leave a legacy for others through our work today. Here’s my Why: My wife’s family has four generations of Ford employees, and I came here because I wanted to be part of the transformation that takes us to world-class manufacturing. #WeAreFord #MyWhy

The Cuautitlán Assembly and Stamping Plant celebrated its 60th anniversary recently at its annual open house for employees and their families and friends. Attendees enjoyed a wellness pavilion and a fun fair full of activities like bumper cars, a merry-go-round, a racing simulator, and ziplines. Live music got everyone moving and grooving together. Kids also had a chance to see what their parents do all day by checking out their work areas in stamping, bodywork, paint and more. Want to be part of celebration like these? This week is the perfect time to welcome U.S. Marine Corps veteran and Mustang fan Kareem El to Ford. Two months into his new role as an electric vehicle strategy manager, Kareem El is still feeling the excitement. “The decision to take this role was an easy one – I can’t imagine a better opportunity.” His job, simply stated, is figuring out the best way to sell more EVs, and Kareem says it’s fun but also gratifying. “I get to make a lasting impact on a worthy cause because our success directly supports environmental sustainability.” Another plus for the Model e strategy team member is seeing the direct results of his work every day on the road. “Every Mustang Mach-E or F-150 Lightning that rolls down the street is a testament to our team’s success and a reminder of the huge opportunity that is still up for grabs,” Kareem says. Kareem started his career as a logistics officer in the Marines, where they delivered things a little differently: by parachute. After leading an Air Delivery Platoon, he started his civilian career in federal consulting. From there, he entered the tech world where he launched a social connection app startup and worked in tech go-to-market for a last-mile delivery app (which did not involve parachutes!). Outside of work, Kareem’s hobbies are as diverse as his work experience. You can find him skateboarding, riding a Harley, practicing Muay Thai fighting, playing chess, performing as the front man for an alternative rock band and soon…driving around in his new 2025 Mustang Mach-E. “I thought it was super cool that Ford invests so heavily in helping its employees get behind the wheel of our vehicles,” says Kareem. “I've wanted a Mustang since I was in high school and Ford is helping me celebrate the holidays a little early!” Want to be part of the exciting transformation of automotive?
