Proud to partner with Grey, TANK Worldwide and Jhpiego on Lifesaving Windows, a poignant installation that sheds light on the challenges and triumphs of maternal health worldwide. If you are in NYC this weekend, be sure to see it for yourself. 👇 #healthatwpp
Life-Saving Windows: A Look into Maternal Health. More than a Holiday Window, a call to action. We are excited to share a ❤️ warming effort with Jhpiego and Grey Health. Traditionally holiday windows are known for their dazzling lights, rhinestone-encrusted decor, and breathtaking artistry—we have transformed one on Madison Avenue in NYC into a moving, thought-provoking depiction of a real-life delivery room.#HealthAtWPP “This activation is a powerful testament to the life-saving impact of timely, accessible health care. By sharing Helena’s journey, we aim to honor the resilience of mothers everywhere. It is our call to action to everyone—to join us in building a future where no mother or child’s health is left to chance,” - Dr. Leslie Mancuso, President and Chief Executive Officer of Jhpiego Watch this powerful transformation here: https://lnkd.in/e_agaE-J TANK Worldwide GCI Health Fingerprint Communications Townhouse Frequency Pictures

GCI Health’s Kianta Key recently led a dynamic panel, “From Exclusion to Inclusion,” at #WOCIP24 on the role healthcare communicators play in helping to increase clinical trial participation among women of color. While women make up 51% of the population, only 41% are clinical trial participants. For women of color, that number drops dramatically. Leaning into insights from “Layered: A Report on Black Women's Perceptions of Clinical Trials,” the panel explored many layered solutions to increase the clinical trial participation of women most impacted by disease. https://lnkd.in/eYGZMPy8 Here are a few of the insights from the panel: 🔈 Move beyond the "journey" metaphor: For women of color who have participated in a clinical trial, participation can look more like a trip than a journey. Panelist Regina V. Barnes shared her personal experience and offered that clinical research teams need to consider the real-life hurdles patients face when they want to be involved in research, from mitigating travel and time off from work to network support. 🎯 Combat bias and assumptions: Panelist Dale McElveen, MBA discussed the need to address medical research bias. While there are exclusion and inclusion criteria to be mindful of, individual clinicians should not make assumptions about someone's willingness to participate in a clinical trial. They must ask and provide information to patients, especially women of color who are most burdened by diseases like breast cancer. ➡ Ensure Sustainable Investment: The #FDA and #MHRA are providing guidance on making clinical research more inclusive. We need to ensure that leaders are committed to investing in diversity on the front end, with sustainable infrastructure that builds trust in under-enrolled communities. Thank you to our amazing panelists Regina V. Barnes, Dale McElveen, MBA, Dr. Nazarene Tubman and Jamie Wilkins for your insights and passion. Together we can spark real change to ensure medicine works for all! #WOCIP2024Unity #AmplifyActivateAct

In #healthcare, reaching communities disproportionately impacted by chronic conditions demands diverse teams and culturally competent messaging that reflects their lived experiences. As skepticism grows around #DEI, it’s more important than ever to raise awareness and support for these initiatives. That's why we are proud to partner with AMEC Measurement and Evaluation, Commission on Public Relations Education, Diversity Action Alliance, Hispanic PR Association (HPRA), Institute for Public Relations, The LAGRANT Foundation, National Black Public Relations Society Inc, Page Society, The Plank Center for Leadership in Public Relations and PR Council to share the truth: DEI is good for everyone. #DEIisGoodforBusiness #DEIisGoodforHealth
