  • "In a world where businesses face constant transformation, effective change management is more crucial than ever." This is very relevant no matter what industry you are in, but especially in the #lifesciences industry. It's also why our Lime Life Science Marketing Soil Test, that we shared about this week, is so helpful for companies where change is needed. Thanks Aaron Rzepka for this great article. #lifescience #marketing #Lime #strategy #changemanagement

I recently had a conversation with several IT leaders who were frustrated by how technology changes were impacting their business operations. To my surprise, many of them didn’t have a solid change management program in place to guide these transitions. It really got me thinking about how crucial effective change management is to the success of any organization. In this article, I’ve outlined 5 key reasons why change management is critical, with real-world examples that show the impact it can have on security, user experience, business continuity, uptime, and technical dependencies. If your organization isn’t prioritizing change management, now is the time to start. #ChangeManagement #BusinessContinuity #UserExperience #Security #SystemUptime #TechDependence #BusinessOperations #Leadership #Innovation #OrganizationalGrowth #DigitalTransformation

One of the most powerful and high impact things I do with clients is the Soil Test. It provides clarity and focus on the few things that will make the biggest difference for improving #lifesciencemarketing performance. Often times, I see leaders chasing too many butterflies, leaving them and their teams exhausted and without much progress. As it's famously said, "a problem well-defined is a problem half-solved". What's your one difference maker for 2025?

Do you have the right plan to achieve your marketing goals in 2025? We know you want to build a world-class marketing organization, improve launch effectiveness, or drive another key critical business initiative. Change is needed, but it can be hard to know where to start, especially when there seems so much to do. Our Life Science Marketing Soil Test (TM) evaluates the extent to which your company has the proven marketing ingredients to grow profits. The results of the test are used by company leaders to help guide marketing capability strategy and planning efforts. The test is grounded in our proprietary Lime Life Science Marketing Framework (TM) generated through decades-long research and practice. The Soil Test (TM) includes: • Benchmark analysis of your company’s marketing capabilities (strengths and gaps) • 1-to-3 year strategic road map to address those gaps • Marketing capability and change management expertise and support The process is easy for you and your team and can be completed in as quickly as 6 weeks. After kicking off the project and aligning on goals, we’ll take your Soil Sample consisting of company data and engagement sessions. From there, we’ll analyze your Soil Sample and validate our findings with you and your team. Finally, we’ll develop a Strategic Roadmap Recommendation with play-by-play plans to make immediate and lasting impact. Interested in a Lime Life Science Marketing Soil Test for your company? Reach out via DM, to our CEO/Founder Michele Benton, Ph.D. or contact us at https://lnkd.in/gK2vWQmq #marketing #strategy #roadmap #lifesciences #Lime

  • After a 2-week social media break on LinkedIn, Team Lime talked about our reflections and the implications on the types of conversations we want to be a part of in the coming year. Connecting with other #lifesciencemarketers is so meaningful to us, but being away from LinkedIn helped us crystalize what we also didn’t miss. Consider the impact if we upgrade our conversations on this platform: First, having a conversation between people, not machines. There are few places outside LinkedIn (and Lime) to get #lifesciencemarketing thought leadership. If AI is generating thought leadership, it’s pulling from what’s already out there. Literature reviews can be helpful, but solving lingering problems requires new thinking, not a regurgitation of the old. Even more, if AI is also generating our responses and interactions, then what purpose does this conversation serve? Second, elevating ethics and empathy as obligation (not optional) in the conversation. Recent headlines only reinforce how our industry too often appears tone deaf in light of the challenges our patients and other customers face. How can we go above and beyond to walk in their shoes, do our work from their stance (not merely the stance of our boss), and situate our decisions and actions from the customers’ point of view? How can we help our leaders and peers do the same, and do we have the courage to call it out when we see it? What do YOU want to talk about this year? #AI #ethics #lifesciences #marketing #Lime

CEO/Founder, Lime - The strategic marketing capabilities partner for life science companies

I love this time of year, a chance to recharge with the family, decompress, and consider the year ahead. I wanted to share an article I’m going to be thinking more about. (For those who love the science, it’s a geeky read on a potential source of human consciousness and implications to AI.) What made me pause was the notion that “a growing body of research has reported some evidence of quantum processes being possible in the brain…[I]t’s leading some scientists to reconsider the possibility that consciousness could be quantum in nature. Not only would this be a huge breakthrough in the understanding of human consciousness, it would mean that purely algorithmic—or computer-based—artificial intelligence could never truly be conscious.” In our business world—in #lifesciences and #lifesciencesmarketing and #healthcare —we desperately want a world that’s knowable, predictable, and controllable. AI as it is currently being pursued only underscores this desire. A quantum paradigm blows this all up – we are not cogs in a machine, but humans in a living system. Managing to the average means we’re leaving so many behind. Isn’t it about time our business thinking approaches the world in such a way? Between the eggnog and mistletoe, what might you be thinking about over the holidays? https://lnkd.in/g7ZE4dpq

  • One of the most beautiful parts of the holidays is the fact that you get to choose the meaningful traditions to carry on that bring joy to your season, and ditch the ones that have just become a chore or checklist. And there are so many to choose from...or maybe this is the year that you come up with a holiday tradition unique to your family! Perhaps these options that Team Lime pulled together may spark some fun ideas for holiday traditions to consider: 🎄Incorporate the smell of fresh pine with a nice arrangement or wreath 🎄Find an ornament that sums up the year (2024 flare) 🎄Prepare a travel mug of hot cocoa and tour neighborhood lights 🎄Wear an ugly Christmas sweater...or better yet, make one! 🎄Prepare a gift for neighbors that you appreciate 🎄Make gingerbread houses or cookies with your favorite nostalgic candy 🎄Buy a little poinsettia for the kitchen counter or a cozy spot in your home 🎄Hang mistletoe for a special moment with your loved one. 🎄Go ice skating...if you're coordinated and you dare! 🎄Hang a pickle ornament on the tree...a German tradition where the first family member to find it gets an extra gift or will have good fortune 🎄 Have a favorite things gathering with people you love who come sharing something they can't live without 🎄Volunteer your time in a meaningful way and donate belongings going unused that others would be blessed by 🎄Put an oversized orange in the toe of stockings (a tradition dating back hundreds of years that's an ode to the generosity of St. Nicholas) 🎄Set up a holiday movie night with your favorite classic (It's a Wonderful Life, Home Alone, and A Christmas Carol are classics...with one too many Scrooge variations like A Christmas Karen - cringe) 🎄 Run your December errands while enjoying classic holiday songs playing in the background (John Philip Sousa’s Sleigh Ride, Paul McCartney’s Wonderful Christmas time, José Feliciano’s Feliz Navidad, etc.) What are your tried and true holiday traditions that you'd add to this list or share? We'd love to hear! #holidays #Christmas #XMas #traditions #lifesciences #Lime

  • "There's a growing acknowledgment that establishing emotional connections with clients and stakeholders is crucial." It turns out that creativity carries weight with B2B purchasing considerations, according to this article by Steve Kearns on The Creative Tactics that Drive Better B2B Ad Performance and LinkedIn's 2024 B2B Marketing Benchmark report referenced. How are your marketing & advertising teams moving past just focusing on functionality to also include storytelling that resonates with your audiences and connects on a deeper level? #creativity #marketing #lifesciences #strategy #Lime

When ads are “creative,” they work significantly harder for B2B brands. Business decision makers are 40% more likely to consider purchasing the brand if their ad is seen as “creative.” according to this research article from LinkedIn. Read more: https://bit.ly/4gG49Ed

  • In the high-stakes arena of life science marketing, we’re not just competing for market share, we’re grappling with a complex set of issues inside and outside the company. While we all love what we do, our day-to-day work often comes with what seems like an endless stream of surprises, fire drills, and stress. These conditions can make it hard to discern how to best drive performance, while not driving others to BURNOUT. At times, we get caught up in the immediacy and often struggle to see the underlying pathology. Our default is to throw more things at the problem, only adding fuel to the fire. Surprisingly, this approach to dealing with underperformance and potential burnout runs counter to the natural cycle of things. In order to thrive, we miss that in times of turbulence and chaos, we need to *take things away* rather than add more things on. As teams and colleagues rush to the finish line of 2024 and try to catch their breath from a long year, consider what things on their plates (and yours, as leaders) should be removed from the lineup for next year so that time and energy can be reallocated to more impactful measures. #burnout #marketing #lifesciences #strategy #Lime
