It was horrifying to watch footage of the July 13th assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump here in Pennsylvania. We mourn the loss of Corey Comperatore, who was murdered while heroically protecting his family. Our hearts also go out to those wounded during the rally, including David Dutch and James Copenhaver. We are grateful for the Secret Service's defensive gun use that stopped the criminal threat. In these trying times, we must keep our wits about us. Let us remain steadfast as Americans, governed by our love for liberty, care for others, and determination not to allow evil to win. May we never become complacent or take for granted our duty to elect and hold accountable our government designed to represent us, the people. As firearms are a trending topic, it is important to note that we could not ask for a better community.
