Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths in America, according to the American Lung Association. If you’re at risk for #LungCancer: the good news is that regular screenings can find lung cancer early, when it's most treatable. Not sure if you should get screened? If you smoked, consider taking the American Lung Association’s risk quiz. It can help you find out if you should talk to your doctor about screening. Get details and start the quiz here: https://bit.ly/48OVNqW Schedule your lung cancer screening at (912) 350-LUNG (5864). #ImproveMoreLives #LungCancerAwareness

We feel beauty comes from the inside. But when you have been a patient at the hospital, sometimes it helps to get a little makeover. Our oncology nursing team surprised one of our patients with a beauty salon makeover this week. The patient said, "It made me feel so special and boosted my energy so much! I cannot thank them enough for doing this and the great care I have received." #weshowup

Thank you to the Savannah Arts Academy for Visual and Performing Arts Future Business Leaders of America Club for delivering decorated pumpkins to the Memorial Health Curtis and Elizabeth Anderson Cancer institute. The club recently hosted a pumpkin decorating social. Students purchased pumpkins to decorate with the money raised going towards the Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation. These pumpkins brought smiles to many of our patients and staff.
