UNO CPAR's collaboration with the Young Professionals Council and CODE (Commitment to Opportunity, Diversity, and Equity) of the Greater Omaha Chamber on a survey to explore the quality of life and workplace culture in the Greater Omaha region earlier this year revealed some insightful findings. As they pointed out in their post below, two quality-of-life factors that respondents age 18 to 47 were dissatisfied or extremely dissatisfied with included walk and bike-friendly commutes (65%) and transit options in the region (73%). See their post below about a new transit option that is in the works to help the region become more accessible and connected! Omaha is a top-10 city for young professionals. Forbes named Omaha “The Best City to Move To.” How can we maintain and build upon that ranking? A survey conducted this summer by the Chamber’s Young Professionals Council and CODE, in collaboration with the University of Nebraska at Omaha Center for Public Affairs, showed respondents between 18- and 47-years-old would like to see additional transit improvements and options where they plan to live. With the addition of the streetcar to Omaha's available transit options, our metro area becomes more accessible and connected. The project will have a generational impact on future growth in the years ahead. Learn more about the streetcar: https://lnkd.in/gHB_-8F9
