Since the Department of Energy (DOE) published the #VPP Liftoff Report in 2023, near-term pressures on the U.S. electric grid have only intensified. The DOE has released a 2025 VPP Liftoff Report Update, outlining the massive potential VPPs have to support rapid load growth while reducing overall grid costs.

The pilot leveraged rate education and multi-channel customer outreach to exceed enrollment targets, with 94% of participants reporting reducing usage during peak times.
