I love talking with students and having the freedom to show real work from our Analytics Solutions as a Service. I can take examples like the GIF you see and talk through how our clients actually use it. Emotions like surprise and sadness can highlight empathy. Fear often highlights when an agent is searching for an answer or script. These colors highlight more than sentiment, but the whole emotional arc of the call. We can see easily and readily the emotional journey of the call. In addition to de-escalation, we can capture the human side: when people covering critical services also provide care and loneliness prevention or when someone in fast food saves someone from choking. Most call center metrics focus only on the bad. We lose sight of all the good when we favor summaries or strictly numbers.
