The Williamson County District Attorney’s Office is celebrating Christopher “Auggie” Alvarado, a member of its inaugural internship program, who recently passed the bar exam and has been sworn in as a member of the State Bar of Texas. Alvarado, a lifelong WilCo resident who earned his law degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, began interning in the District Attorney’s office during the summer. The DA’s Office internship program offers law school students and recent graduates an opportunity to gain hands-on experience, network with prosecutors and judges, and contribute to real-world legal matters. Alvarado will take this valuable experience with him as he begins a full-time clerkship with U.S. District Court Judge Orlando Garcia in the Western District of Texas. “I am very proud of Auggie as he has been a tremendous help to our office while embracing his role as a true public servant,” said Williamson County District Attorney Shawn Dick. “I believe that by investing in these young talents, we’re investing in the future of our justice system.” #Opportunity #Leadership #Culture

The importance of teamwork, communication and stress management were some of the key takeaways from the County Auditor’s team building and training session at River Ranch County Park today. To demonstrate the healthful benefits of taking a break, the group hiked out to the Bell Oak. The time away from the office provided an opportunity for the team to appreciate each other and celebrate together. #Culture #Leadership #Community #WilCoWay
