From raising awareness on #SRHR to providing psychosocial support to gender-based violence survivors, Women's Peace & Humanitarian Fund (WPHF) partners in #Myanmar are addressing the urgent protection needs of women and vulnerable groups. In partnership with a local network, some of them are conducting trainings on reproductive rights, #HIV & #GBV with women leaders in 40 townships, improving their skills in digital safety, case documentation, policy advocacy and protection from exploitation. Other #WPHFund partners are raising awareness of mental health practices among women and girls across the country, improving their confidence and enhancing their capacity to deliver humanitarian and protection services in their communities. Find out how we're supporting their critical work as we continue to mark this year's #16DaysOfActivism: wphfund.org/Myanmar #OrangeTheWorld

Facilitating knowledge exchange and capacity building for local women's organizations is at the heart of the Women's Peace & Humanitarian Fund (WPHF) Global Learning Hub. Over the last months, our #LHUB - led by Emilie Vidal and Sandra EDWARD - has hosted a series of webinars tailored to the needs and interests of our civil society partners across the globe. Explore some highlights below! 👇 On the sidelines of #UNGA79, 59 women from 20 countries explored how theater can play a key role in trauma healing, fostering community connections in fragile settings and providing a powerful outlet for sharing emotions. We're deeply thankful to Alessandro Ienzi for leading this great session and sharing his expertise with our partners. In partnership with World Food Programme, 69 women from 16 countries gained valuable insights on conducting gender-responsive #FoodSecurity assessments and addressing the unique needs of women and girls affected by food insecurity in conflict and crisis settings worldwide. Last month, two of our CSO board members, The Kvinna till Kvinna Foundation and She's the First, shared some of the key tools and methods they use to create feminist strategic plans and track their own progress with 70 women activists across 20 countries. In preparation for this year's International Women Human Rights Defenders Day on 29 November, 65 women from 29 countries participated in an engaging online workshop led by WITNESS on the use of video to document human rights violations in crisis settings. Less than 1 percent of funding for recovery in #Ukraine goes to projects focusing on gender equality. Meanwhile, Ukrainian women are leading on all fronts amid growing security threats – from defending their country on the frontline, leading humanitarian efforts to driving the economy. Ukrainian women-led civil society organizations were among the first to respond to the humanitarian crisis. Working with more than 50 organizations through the Women's Peace & Humanitarian Fund (WPHF), UN Women and partners have supported over 100,000 women and girls in need. Last month, I met with Dr. Kateryna Levchenko, the Ukrainian Government Commissioner for Gender Equality Policy. I commended the Government of Ukraine for their strong commitment to #GenderEquality, including through the Ukraine Facility Action Plan and the Alliance for Gender-Responsive and Inclusive Recovery. It’s time for the international community to step up the support and increase investments in women as leaders in rebuilding Ukraine’s future. https://lnkd.in/eh9_wYfK
