Would you revisit the place of your childhood? 🌟 If you have had a happy childhood, you should   I don't mean the physical place, but the place of your childhood deep inside you. Reconnecting with your childhood can be a beautiful journey of self-discovery and understanding. It's where you are just "YOU," without any layers. It's your natural identity, crafted by nature—a place where your self-identity hasn't been shaped by the world around you.   Remember? in this place, you're filled with curiosity and wonder. You're openly vulnerable, and willing to take risks just to learn more. You embrace new experiences, trusting your instincts completely. Your imagination knows no bounds, and you're willing to dream big. Energy flows through you effortlessly, and inspiration fills your mind without any blocks.   As children, we were often very present in the moment, fully engaged in our activities. If you can practice mindfulness and being present, as you might have done naturally as a child, you can reduce anxiety. It helps by preventing you from getting caught up in worries about the future or regrets about the past.   What if you could revisit this place once in a while? It could help you untangle your anxieties and recharge your energy channels.   I try to visit my place of childhood by escaping the maddening crowds and connecting with Mother Nature. I find a peaceful, quiet place where I can sit and reflect without interruptions. My mind relives the wonder years of my childhood & I start feeling light hearted Allowing your mind to wander back in time can trigger old memories & take you to that happy place of your childhood. I also try to reconnect with childhood friends because the friendships formed in childhood can be incredibly deep and meaningful & without the complexities of adult relationships. It helps me relive the good old days & my anxieties melt away Try spending time every day with your children, if they are still young. It will not only strengthen your bond with them but also provide a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with your own past. This process can be deeply fulfilling and can help you appreciate the journey from your own childhood to parenthood   How do you reconnect with your childhood self? How to keep inner child alive amidst responsibilities? As we journey through life, many of us grow accustomed to setting aside our playful, joyful inner child. In the drive to meet expectations and achieve our goals, we often suppress that part of ourselves that feels truly alive and carefree. But is burying this inner child necessary for success? It’s that spark, the one we naturally feel when around children, that reminds us of how alive we can feel. By reconnecting with our inner child, we can nurture a more balanced, fulfilling, and inspired version of ourselves. Few pointers that can help in rekindling the spark: 👉Make Time for Curiosity: Ask questions, learn something new, or explore a skill you’ve always wanted to try. The other day, I watched a young child chasing bubbles in a park, completely lost in the moment. It made me realize how often we rush through life, forgetting to truly savor these simple joys. What if we slowed down a bit? Took time to notice the little things—the sound of rain, the warmth of a hug, the taste of our favorite meal? It's easy to get caught up in the hustle, but seeing that child made me reflect on how we handle things. Are we living or just going through the motions? Maybe it's time to breathe deeply, appreciate where we are, and give ourselves the grace to simply be. Let's take this moment to reflect on the power of our choices. My 4 year old daughter Ayisha taught me these 3 lessons…. We spend so much time teaching our children, but I believe we can learn even more from them if we just pay attention and also life’s biggest lessons come from the smallest people. My little Ayisha, just 4 years old, unknowingly teaches me things every day. And these lessons? I know they are very simple, but they hold so much meaning. 1. The Happiness in Small Things…. For Ayisha, joy is in the tiniest moments—a new crayon, a butterfly, a chocolate or even just a good story before bed. It made me realize how often we adults chase “big achievements” and forget the beauty of small, everyday joys. 2. No Grudges in Her Little Heart…. One moment she is upset because her toy fell, the next moment she is super happy laughing like nothing happened. She doesn’t carry anger or grudges—something we adults often struggle with. Imagine how peaceful our lives if we do as a child does. 3. She Makes Us Happy Without Trying…. Ayisha doesn’t try to impress or make us proud; she is just herself. Her smile, her hugs, her silly jokes; they brighten our toughest days. It reminded me that sometimes, just being ourselves is enough to bring happiness to others.
