▫️#NewZealand Prime Minister Christopher Laxon announced a new aid package to #Ukraine worth NZ$16 million (USD9.8 million) during the NATO summit in #Washington, DC. This was announced by Ukraine's Ambassador to #Australia Vasyl Myroshnychenko. The aid will be distributed in several areas: 6 million New Zealand dollars ($3.68 million) will go to #military needs, and 10 million New Zealand dollars ($6.12 million) will be used for humanitarian aid. ▫️The military aid includes $2.45 million for the #DroneCoalition, led by the #UnitedKingdom and #Latvia, and $1.23 million for Ukraine's military #medical needs. "New Zealand understands that although we are far away from Ukraine, what is happening there affects all of us, and we are committed to #supportingUkraine for the long term," said Lacson. ▫️The total amount of aid provided by New Zealand to Ukraine has reached 130 million New Zealand dollars (approximately 79.5 million US dollars). In light of the updated IPC report, we are devastated by the failure of world leaders to heed earlier advice and take action. The updated report reiterates what we have said all along: an immediate ceasefire and increased aid access is the only way to save lives and avert famine. The report indicates slight improvements in conditions in the northern regions of Gaza in March and April, due to increased aid access, and shows that Israel is entirely able to halt the suffering of innocents. These conditions have deteriorated once again because of the military incursion in Rafah and the complete blockade at the border. The UK must condemn all violations of IHL and IHRL and the blocking of humanitarian aid by Israel. Starvation is being used as a weapon of war. For more: https://lnkd.in/e_MDEK6w

The War in Ukraine. The international community must act in the Ukraine. War is abhorrent and an obscenity against God and Humanity. However, war has ben brought upon Europe and there is no choice. It must be ended brutally and swiftly for the least amount of Russian lives lost. Vladimir Putin's army of adventure meant to revive the Russian empire of the old USSR must be destroyed. Tragically, many of the Russians in that army are innocent victims of a psychopathic strong man. Western powers must act immediately to supply Ukrainian patriots with every available material resource neccessary to the task. Support should also include highly advanced training from western special forces and regular military training. If these action are not immediately undertaken up to 60% of Ukrainian territory could be lost to Vladimir Putin over time. There is a directly proportional relationship between delay and loss or life and territory. For every hectare of territory lost, ther is a greater risk to the security and safety of Europe in the future. Vladimir Putin and his successors will use a subjugated puppet state in Ukraine as a jumping off point and base of operations to destabilize and conquer any part of Europe they can lay their hand on.
