♻ How can we reduce textile waste and promote the re-use of textiles? What kinds of new or improved business models, services, and solutions can help companies achieve these goals? 💡 Last Wednesday, we reached a milestone in our "ReDesign Textile Business: Prototype & Test Your Idea!" journey with the final prototyping workshop of the Baltic2Hand project! 🌟 Twelve innovative companies showcased their prototypes, sharing their key learnings and next steps for advancing their solutions. We were also heard an inspiring keynote from Mikko Siukosaari, Ninyes Inc on prototyping resale solutions, adding even more depth to the day’s discussions. It was truly inspiring to see the progress made and hear the valuable insights gained throughout this process. Together, we’ve taken important steps toward creating a more sustainable future. 💪 But the journey doesn’t end here – next spring, we’ll shift our focus to piloting these solutions! 🚀 #Baltic2Hand #TextileReuse #CircularEconomy #CentralBalticProgramme Baltic2Hand is funded by an Interreg Central Baltic Programme 2021-2027 project that is co-funded by the European Union.

♻ How do we decrease textile waste and increase the re-use of textiles? What kinds of new or improved business models, services and other solutions benefit companies to meet these targets? 💡 In our workshop series: “ReDesign Textile Business: Prototype & Test Your Idea!” we had yesterday an exciting day! We had our 3th prototyping and testing workshop in which we heard the testing results of the prototypes. It was truly amazing to see the current state of the prototypes and hear about the results. Overall, the testing results were positive. One of our goals is to build a circular value chain/chain we started to draft yesterday: together we are more. 💪 Our journey continues towards the final prototyping and testing workshop 27.11. #Baltic2Hand #TextileReuse #CircularEconomy #CentralBalticProgramme Baltic2Hand is funded by an Interreg Central Baltic Programme 2021-2027 project that is co-funded by the European Union.

𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗭𝗲𝗿𝗼 𝗘𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆. It’s a strong reminder that everyone – from individuals to companies – can make a big difference in reducing emissions. But to reach that goal, everyone has to do their part, take responsibility, and help make the planet healthier. “𝗪𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗮 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱. 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. 🌿 #FYI For Your Innovation: Giving New Life to Our Foam 🔄 What are we doing in practice? We produce foam packaging at the Montrichard plant, generating 20 tons of waste annually. And if that wasn't enough, the way we handle this waste is at odds with Daher's new commitments towards sustainability. In 2022, following an internal call for projects initiated by Imagineering by Daher (another employee initiative and we’re proud of it! 🙌), the project was selected as one of the winners. Time to spring into action! To achieve this, we partnered with Re-vert , a startup that specializes in the study and implementation of cross-sectoral and local supply chains. With the support of our on-site teams, the final presentation took place last week, allowing us to: - Explore 11 potential avenues; - Consider short- and medium-term solutions; - Outline a stronger collaboration framework with some of our partners. Of course, this is just the beginning. We need to continue our reflections, and we're on the right track! The same approach is applied to our glass wool waste from the production of our insulation mattresses in Brais. Stay tuned for updates on our progress! 💡 #Innovation #Sustainability #Collaboration #WasteReduction

Owww Yes, we do a lot more than telling companies how to benefit from the circular transition. We also research new (viable) EOL solutions like these post-production and post-consumption carpets. More info 👇 . #wesolvecomplexcircularchallenges
Redirecting the HUGE carpet waste streams away from incineration is one of the goals of the living lab CARPET (financed by VLAIO - Flanders Innovation & Entrepreneurship). We were asked by Centexbel to join the lab to find solutions for the different waste streams and develop business models for the new activities. We are halfway into the project and are happy to share the first findings to the audience at the 4th International Conference on a Circular Economy for Textiles & Plastics organized by VKC-Centexbel. Below 2 (of the 3 bold ones at MM ;-)) next to our remanufactured CARPET poster. Thanks to Myriam Vanneste and the rest of the CARPET-Living-Lab-team (Fedustria, Groep Weerwerk, Balta Group, Cobot vzw, Imog, Belysse, Designregio Kortrijk). Interested to hear Myriams update? She will be speaking 20/11 @12h30. Follow us to stay updated on more exciting circular solution news. #REALcircularity #circularsolutions #circularleadership

🧵Discover the main results of the 10 innovative projects led by companies benefiting from EuroBoosTEX funding! 👁🗨Focus on the project RecTexWas led by Textile Change - Denmark 🚩 The project “Process optimization for textile recycling” aimed to assess the feasibility of implementing a new technology at a kilogram scale, building upon successful lab test conducted at a gram scale. The objective was to determine if the new technology can further optimize Textile Change’s fibre-to-fibre recycling technology by reducing the treatment time as well as lower the required process temperature significantly. The successful integration of the equipment underscores the potential of the new technology enhancing process efficiency and sustainability.
