In my quest to improve productivity, I came across the 80/20 rule, which I now apply to my everyday life. It helps me make the right choices when it comes to what I should and should not be doing at any given time. read more here https://lnkd.in/d6T5fasM

What documents do physicians struggle to find for onboarding when it comes to Moonlighting? Take a guess! 🧐 ANSWER: Case logs and peer references. They’re essential for credentialing and onboarding, yet often overlooked and lost over the course of a physician’s career. Case logs showcase a physician’s clinical experience and competence, providing a snapshot of their skills and readiness to handle diverse medical scenarios. Peer references from trusted colleagues highlight professionalism, work ethic, and abilities, giving employers confidence in a physician’s capabilities. Hospitals are trying to avoid malpractice cases at the end of the day! Missing these documents can delay your onboarding process and impact your moonlighting opportunities. Make sure you have them ready and up-to-date, and you’ll be smooth sailing. 🌟⛵️ #Moonlight #Residency #MedicalProfessionals #PhysicianLife #Onboarding #LocumTenens #MoonlightPlatform #PhysicianCommunity #Credentialing

https://lnkd.in/gqQU_3aJ "There’s a question dividing the medical practice right now: Is being a doctor a job, or a calling? For decades, the answer was clear. Doctors accepted long hours and punishing schedules, believing it was their duty to sacrifice in the name of patient care. They did it knowing their colleagues prided themselves on doing the same. A newer generation of physicians is questioning that culture, at times to the chagrin of their older peers." Quote above from the article It seems by the time these type of issues make it to the general press the situation has been around for some time. We has seen the make up the profession change in many ways the 20+ years. NP's, pharmacists, others taking on more of burden. In Europe there seems to more work life balance among MD's Where are we headed?

Do you agree? As a hospital administrator, I often hear from peers and colleagues that doctors can be the most challenging individuals to work with. While there may be some truth to this, it's important to remember that doctors are human too. They bear the weight of their patients' pain, sorrow, stress, and problems, and they need an outlet to release their own burdens. The ever-evolving landscape of healthcare places immense pressure on them as well. Their intense workload, emotional burden from confronting human suffering, and the need for perfection in their work contribute to high expectations and sometimes rigid attitudes. Additionally, time constraints and the necessity for quick, complex decision-making can lead to hurried interactions and communication barriers. For me, building a strong connection with our doctors has never been an issue. My journey began in pharma sales before transitioning into healthcare, and this experience has equipped me to effectively engage with some of the most intelligent and dedicated individuals on the planet. Today, on Doctors' Day, let's take a moment to honor the dedication, sleepless nights, stress, and often challenging work-life balance that doctors endure to care for their patients. Let's salute these remarkable individuals who guide us through life's most critical moments, from our first breath to our last. Their unwavering dedication deserves our deepest respect and gratitude. Happy Doctors' Day to all the wonderful doctors out there!

As National EMS week approaches I want to send out a reminder to everyone. The best way to show appreciation to those working in the field is not a pizza party or trinket. The best way to show your appreciation, is to tell them everyday how important they are to the agency. EMS personnel deserve recognition more than once a year. Many of us work tirelessly to manage work and home schedules. Missing out on many family milestones, birthdays, and holidays. Hearing “you knew what you were getting into when you signed up” is not an acceptable response! There is always another agency or job that is willing to accept your personnel. Tell them openly how much they are appreciated and how their constant hard work means a great deal! You would be surprised how a simple act can change the attitude of an employee. All it takes is a simple 5 second acknowledgement. As a team lead I have made it part of my routine to let me crews know that I couldn’t do this alone, and that their efforts are greatly appreciated. This not only boosts morale, but, may just change the mindset of the employee having a bad day. Remember a simple ‘Thank you for all your hard work’ can go a long way!

I'm fortunate to work for a company that prioritizes employee well-being and offers flexible work arrangements. We understand the importance of taking time off to look after ourselves. I've recently written an article titled "I Chucked a Sickie: Why It's Harder Than You Think to Call in Sick," where I delve into the cultural and psychological barriers that make it difficult for many people to take sick leave. It's a topic that resonates with me, especially as I see the positive impact of a supportive work culture every day. If you're interested in exploring why calling in sick can be so challenging and how we can cultivate healthier workplace environments, I invite you to give it a read! Let's continue to advocate for workplaces that put people first. #WorkCulture #EmployeeWellBeing #SickLeave #FlexibleWork #MentalHealth
