SPONSOR // Our school bees have been busier than ever, producing a bumper harvest of golden honey this season! Sarah Bailey from Harcourts Marketplace (pictured with Deputy Principal Tom Bates) recently stopped by to collect her summer batch, which will be a delightful addition to their new homeowner gift packs. We’re incredibly grateful to Sarah, Chris Mihalopoulos, and the Harcourts Marketplace team for their ongoing support over the past three years. Since the start of our sponsorship program, they’ve been dedicated partners and active members of our school community. Want to join our buzzing network of sponsors and support our school? We'd love to hear from you! Reach out to sponsorship@corindashs.eq.edu.au to find out how you can get involved. #sponsor #SmartFarm #community #UnifiedCollective #qldstateschools

Shooting less content = Better Storytelling? This may seem crazy but as I’ve grown in visual storytelling one of the key things I’ve recently been doing is shooting less content. When I was first starting out I was always worried about missing something and would constantly be shooting. This led to editing being a nightmare. Now that I have more experience I understand the general flow of events and can be more focused on the quality of shots and how they contribute to the story instead of just shooting out of fear of missing something. It may sound counterintuitive but as I’ve been shooting less the quality of my work has gone up and I am far more efficient. #Video #Story #VisualStorytelling #Event #EventPlanning #VideoEditing
Recently, we had the privilege of sponsoring a community breakfast with Sunrock at the Durham Rescue Mission as a followup event to our golf tournament. 🏌️♂️ 🍳 It was great to connect business partners, golfers, and friends to such a great cause. We're ending the week with a pair of opportunities that are still open with Five Counties Children's Centre. One is urgent, so please take a look. Five Counties Children's Centre was founded by Rotary members who saw a need for a close clinic where children with disabilities could get treatment and therapy without parents/ caregivers driving to Toronto. Nearly 50 years later, the client list is in the six-thousands, with over 2000 wait-listed . With numbers like that, you can see how fundraising events are very important. Their Backyard Summer Social is coming up on the 22nd and they need help with set-up, operations, and tear-down. Because it's an adult-oriented event, the volunteers must be over 19 yrs old. The event is in the backyard of the centre, and accessible by public transit. And there will be snacks! We'll give you the event recruitment link right now so that you can contact Maddie: https://buff.ly/3Vge4XH If you're more of a sit-down-and-chat kind of person (or are busy on the 22nd) there is also a need for Donation Thankyou Callers. It's pretty much as described. People send money to Five Counties and bi-weekly for a couple of hours, you call those nice people back to thank them for that very important donation. And if you're unable to afford a donation yourself, this is a way you can contribute more than money. It's a remote opportunity and time-flexible. You will need a basic police check for this one, NOT the Vulnerable sector screening. This listing is on our Opportunities page. Five Counties is a vital part of our community, especially for anyone who has a disabled child in their care. Supports for these children help them thrive and grow, and shatter barriers themselves. See how you can help today. #CommunityBuilding #Inclusion #FUNdraising #ThankYou #SummerFun

Businesses we need your support
Businesses and individuals we NEED your support. This September brings our 2nd Year in a Day event where we provide up to 25 critically ill children and their families with a weekend jam packed with a years worth of celebrations. With parties and presents, treats and endless fun, your sponsorship goes a long way to create life-long treasured memories for families going through incredibly tough times. Last year was incredible, emotional and unbelievablely magical. Do something amazing and sponsor a season, give our children a "bonus year", and sadly, you could even be giving some of our beneficiaries their last Christmas or Easter, Summer or Halloween celebration with their family. If you are interested in sponsoring one of these seasons, we contact Trustee Amy for more information at amy@emmettsgenies.co.uk

When meeting someone for the first time, the best thing you can offer is your advice and help. Genuine connections are built on the willingness to give before asking. By sharing your insights, offering guidance, or connecting someone to a valuable resource, you show that you’re invested in their success. Networking isn’t just about growing your own contacts; it’s about building meaningful relationships that add value to others. The more you help, the more you open doors to unexpected opportunities and foster a community where everyone can thrive. If you need a place to practice your networking skills, join us at the Puttery in NYC for the Tomorrow's Champions Mini Golf fundraising event tomorrow (10/15)! Go here for info and tickets, and if you can't make it, please consider making a donation. https://lnkd.in/eDUSi_jt Every dollar counts towards supporting TC, along with the four organizations we are supporting during this event, Ice Hockey In Harlem, Street Soccer USA, HARLEM JUNIOR TENNIS AND EDUCATION PROGRAM INC and CityLax! Please reach out if you have any questions. I can certainly guarantee you will have a fantastic time, all in the name of helping kids elevate themselves through participating in sports. We all know how valuable it is to get kids started in sports at an early age, and Tomorrow's Champions mission is to give every child in the NYC area the chance to be on a field, court, rink... Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow! #Networking #GivingBack #ProfessionalRelationships #BuildingConnections #PayItForward

The wait is over. State School Proud merch is officially here. Are you sick of being asked “What school did you go to?”. Need something to wear that screams: “YOU WONT KNOW IT”. Did your school have crap stash or no stash at all? Did you only find out what stash was because you heard some posh rugby man talk about it one time?!?!? Well, look no further. If you’re state educated and want to inflict that knowledge upon the people around you, then TREAT YOURSELF to one of our T-Shirts, tote bags and posters at midday today. You can even pick up that last minute Christmas present for your state educated pals and family members (isn’t that what Black Friday is all about)? How to become the first people in the world to get your hands on our #StateSchoolProud stash: ✅ become a 93% Professionals member ✅ sign in to the Hub ✅ navigate to State School Store and buy your stash ✅ wear super obnoxiously at any given moment and tell people that you went to state school even when they didn’t ask Stock is genuinely limited because we’re a charity and not a state school e-commerce empire (yet). GO GO GO STATE SCHOOLERS, IT’S TIME TO ACTUALLY SEIZE AN OPPORTUNITY

Dark social is about using connections and community to drive your referrals. It’s word-of-mouth but leveraged through social media. Here's a great example of Dean Blachford hosting a charity softball game and leveraging community connections. #darksocial #marketing #digitalmarketing #legalmarketing

We're excited to introduce Bridge Play Foundation, a nonprofit organization I co-founded with the mission of creating inclusive opportunities for youth, families, and communities in the South Bronx and beyond. Our foundation is dedicated to fostering community engagement, promoting healthy lifestyles, and ensuring equitable access to sports for all. At Bridge Play Foundation, we believe that sports have the power to unite and uplift communities. We’re working hard to provide recreational sports programs that bring people together, build confidence, and create lifelong connections. Here’s a look at what we’ve been focusing on: *Game Changer Grants Program — This initiative is designed to provide financial support to local leagues and commissioners, helping them cover the costs of park permits, equipment, and uniforms, ensuring that recreational sports remain accessible to all. *Bridge Play Softball League — We’ve launched a league that serves over 600 players across more than 30 teams, providing a platform for local adults to engage in friendly yet competitive play. It’s more than just a game—it’s a community. We are also proud to have WLB-Care Organization as one of our key partners, supporting our mission to empower communities through sports. Their commitment to veterans and community engagement helps us move forward in making a lasting impact. We’re actively seeking sponsors, partners, and community leaders who want to make a difference in the lives of underserved individuals. Whether through sponsorship, volunteering, or simply spreading the word, your support will help us achieve our vision of creating stronger, healthier communities. Together, we can make a lasting impact—one game at a time! 🏆 #BridgePlayFoundation #GameChangerGrants #CommunityEngagement #SportsForAll #YouthSports #SouthBronx #SoftballLeague #WomenInSports #NonprofitLeadership #CorporateSocialResponsibility #HealthyCommunities #PlayWithPurpose
