At best the ICC for Scvo2 is 0.83 and that is only if the sampling catheter is in the RA. Lower ICC if it varies from this with fairly wide variation. Also a significant variation in sepsis making this marker of limited or at least a problematic measurement for estimating cardiac output through indirect fick. https://lnkd.in/g__WzJYF

Long Covid is very difficult to treat. EECP may be a good, side effect free, effective and above all non invasive option. In simple terms it induces neovascularistaion. Defects in the microvascular tree was identified in Long Covid both in terms of micro clotting and vascular permeability. https://lnkd.in/eksGbwxm.

Today we recognize #CLOVESsyndrome Awareness Day. CLOVES - an acronym for Congenital Lipomatous Overgrowth, Vascular malformations, Epidermal nevi, Skeletal/Scoliosis/Spinal anomalies - is a rare pediatric syndrome characterized by vascular malformation and soft tissue overgrowth presenting with multiple soft tissue swellings. A recent publication highlights how MSK soft tissue ultrasound can help diagnose this condition. Renal ultrasound can also help assess kidney size, which is sometimes unusually small or uneven in affected individuals 👉 https://bit.ly/3SwBgR9

Rapid Response: Diagnosing and Treating Acute Myocardial Infarction in the Golden Hour - Dr Ravindranath Reddy D R Acute myocardial infarction (AMI), commonly known as a heart attack, remains a leading cause of mortality worldwide. Timely diagnosis and intervention within the first hour, known as the "golden hour," can significantly improve survival rates and outcomes. This critical period demands swift action to restore blood flow to the heart muscle, minimizing damage and preserving cardiac function.
