The narrative that Hamas is solely responsible for the humanitarian crisis in Gaza by "stealing" aid is a misleading and oversimplified explanation that fails to account for the broader context of the Israeli occupation and military actions. The blockade and repeated military assaults have had a devastating impact on the lives of Gazans, leading to shortages of essential supplies, the destruction of vital infrastructure, and high civilian casualties. While Hamas bears some responsibility for the political instability in the region, the primary onus lies on Israel, as the occupying power, to ensure the well-being of the civilian population under its control. A more nuanced understanding of the situation is necessary to address the root causes of the humanitarian crisis and work towards a just and sustainable resolution to the conflict.

Israeli forces completed combat operations in the #Jabalia area of northern #Gaza, destroying over 10 kilometres of tunnels and conducting over 200 airstrikes. The military operation, aimed at dismantling #Hamas' infrastructure, killed hundreds of militants and freed seven hostages. This is a significant but costly phase in #Israel's ongoing campaign against #Hamas, which has resulted in over 36,000 #Palestinian casualties, according to the Gaza Health Ministry. The city, which is a key target due to its strategic location near the #Egyptian border, is still the focus of intense fighting. Despite significant military gains, #Israel faces challenges in completely eliminating Hamas, which is still deeply entrenched in #Gaza's social and political structures. At this time, it is not advisable for military engineers, United States military personnel, including Seabees, to travel to that area for infrastructure construction or deployment; there are alternative options available. The term "sitting duck" would be most apt, and we could potentially encounter a scenario reminiscent of the events in Mogadishu on October 3rd, 1993, or Beirut on April 18th, 1983. #HarmsWay #escalation #BlackSwan #Gaza #Somalia #USAPresidentialElection

No US, stop sending arms, and force Israel to to stop the Genocide. Palestinians fo not want to leave the land. Stop killing them, stop facilitating their starvation. In an interview I did about a month into the Genocide I mentioned this and the gas... "Voluntary migration" LET’S CALL IT WHAT IT IS.. ETHNIC CLEANSING AND GENOCIDE. International Court of Justice (ICJ) We see you! All of you. And this is why you have slaughtered the Palestinians. Is anyone even talking about the Israeli hostages. It was never about the hostages. We see you! We have been seeing you, and how you have again, sacrificed our people for your colonial gains. The Israeli Genocidal Forces continue , the war of extermination and famine. And most of you are silent. Israels biggest weapon is your silence. Stop killing our children. Stop killing our people. Proud Sponsors of Genocide are : 🇺🇸➕🇮🇹➕🇩🇪➕🇬🇧➕🇫🇷➕ 🇳🇱 This is the most well documented Genocide in History! We are watching it in real time! It cannot be denied. The carnage continues, we do not need words, we need action. Israeli agenda... Ethnic cleansing and Genocide... Not only have they killed thousands of innocent civilians, they have destroyed and levelled Gaza to the ground. Israel needs to face consequences for breaking international law! And the countries that have been facilitating this Genocide are equally guilty. When we look back at history, we asked how could these atrocities happen. Why was it not prevented. Well it is happening now!!!! Do not push people out of Palestine and grab their land for settler expansion! The opposite must be done, provide temporary refuge for the currently displaced Gazans in a safe zone in Israel and let people return! My, out of the box, personal, vision is to open the Israeli border and to let the forcibly displaced Gazan civilians evacuate to Israel, preventing their further suffering. It means to set up temporary UN peace-force controlled and UNHCR managed refugee camps in Israel. Also for the West Bank there needs to be UN involvement. My idea of a Union of Canaan (www.canaan.community) would mean to dismantle all radicals at both sides, and to start peacebuilding between the moderate parts of the civilian populations. This requires nonviolent interaction as equals, which leads to mutual understanding and empathy. It is the only way to replace fear and hatred by trust and solidarity; realizing sustainability of peace. There is no future for Israel based on the narrative of its radicals..... everyone who wants to claim the territory exclusively for themselves will only find war, violence and destruction, whereas the moderates at both sides hold the key to peace by non-violent interaction and dialog as equals. Practically it means to establish autonomous communities and spread them over the entire territory. The forcibly displaced Gazans can thus live anywhere they want in such communities and return to Gaza after it is rebuilt. These autonomous communities can coexist and come together in a confederation of communities sharing the country. There is space for all cultural identities this way. Currently, such scenario seems very far fetched, but, since the Palestinians belong to where they are and nobody outside is waiting for a Palestinian exodus, the alternative scenario is that Israel will lose worldwide support and may no longer exist in 10 years from now. Indirectly by destroying Gaza, Netanyahu bombed the Jewish state and a two-state solution. www.canaan.community & www.pax.ngo & www.convergence.ngo

In light of the updated IPC report, we are devastated by the failure of world leaders to heed earlier advice and take action. The updated report reiterates what we have said all along: an immediate ceasefire and increased aid access is the only way to save lives and avert famine. The report indicates slight improvements in conditions in the northern regions of Gaza in March and April, due to increased aid access, and shows that Israel is entirely able to halt the suffering of innocents. These conditions have deteriorated once again because of the military incursion in Rafah and the complete blockade at the border. The UK must condemn all violations of IHL and IHRL and the blocking of humanitarian aid by Israel. Starvation is being used as a weapon of war. For more: https://lnkd.in/e_MDEK6w

In the past weeks, the Israeli military operation in the Gaza Strip has dramatically escalated, driving the enclave into even deeper levels of devastation. The targeting of a UN school used as a shelter in #Nuseirat last week, as well as the massacres of #AlMawasi in the so-called “safe zone” and #AlShati in Gaza City on July 13 are the latest attacks against civilians amid an intensification of Israeli bombardments on heavily populated areas. The Israeli army issued new so-called “evacuation orders” against #KhanYunis and Gaza City, triggering additional mass forcible transfers and further squeezing Palestinians into smaller, overcrowded areas that lack the resources to support human life. As a result, the humanitarian catastrophe continues to deepen while obstacles for aid delivery remain dire. These recent developments exacerbate the humanitarian catastrophe while aid organisations face dire obstacles imposed by the continuation of Israeli military operations on the ground. https://lnkd.in/g66WcGtb Is this really a humanitarian effort by the US military? Or is the US establishing control of the Gaza Marine Gas Field? A natural gas field off the coast of Gaza was discovered in 2000 by the BG Group and it is estimated to contain more than 1 trillion cubic feet (28.32 km3) of natural gas. The Palestine Investment Fund (PIF) held the license for the field as of 2023. Will there be another Oil-for-Food Programme planned for the people of Gaza, as in Iraq when the US and the UK gained control of the Iraqi oil fields in exchange for food, medicine, and other humanitarian needs? "An Israeli military division is charged with ensuring the security of US military personnel and civilian truck drivers in the area and a US C-RAM air defense system capable of intercepting mortars provides an extra layer of protection." "Humanitarian aid operations in Gaza have been severely hampered by an increase in Israeli military operations" Why do the Israelis need to protect US military personnel? Can't the US Military protect itself? The US watches genocide for 3 months from the sidelines then tries to deliver humanitarian aid, when they can easily drop it from planes and helicopters. Is the public really that gullible?

In a joint statement, ActionAid Ireland's Karol Balfe & ActionAid USA's Niranjali Amerasinghe highlighted that Taoiseach Varadkar should use his proximity to the US President, Joe Biden, to ask about the country's problematic role in the war on #Gaza and the following 3 crucial questions! 🔴 Will he push Israel to agree to an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza? 🔴Will he put pressure on Israel to allow unfettered, unimpeded full-scale humanitarian aid? 🔴Will he stop sending military support for Israel’s campaign in Gaza? Egyptian presidency reply to President Biden remarks. The Egyptian side of the Rafah crossing had consistently been open. Israeli military strikes on the Palestinian side of the crossing several times blocked delivery of humanitarian aid. As soon as shelling ended every time, Egypt undertook necessary repairs to resume the delivery of humanitarian assistance. Egypt has consistently exerted pressure on the international commcommunity on four fronts: 1) delivery of immediate and adequate humanitarian assistance, 2) rejecting and preventing any kind of displacement of Palestinian population out of Gaza, 3) brockering ceasefire and protection of civilians, and 4) reaching the only solution that serves the long term interest, safety and security of all the people in the region - the establishment of two states including a Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
