Today is World Mental Health Day! 🧠 💪 This year, the World Health Organization's theme is "Mental Health at Work". With so much of our time spent at work (a third of our lives), it is vital for organisations to create safe places for people to work, whether from the office or remotely. So, what can organisations do to improve employees' mental health at work? - Make psychological safety a priority, especially for leaders - Create a culture of continuous development and growth - Take action when something doesn't seem right - Create networking and mentorship opportunities - Acknowledge when change is happening and offer support - Actively listen to people, making them feel heard #MentalHealth #MentalHealthAtWork #Coahing #ObjectiveLeader

May is Mental Health Awareness Month (Post 3) Changing perceptions, fostering relationships, and building reputations are endeavors that rarely yield immediate results. They require extensive strategic planning, decisive action, and sustained effort over time. PR professionals must navigate the balance between short-term demands and long-term objectives, often making difficult decisions and executing strategies that benefit both their clients and stakeholders. However, achieving these goals is never straightforward and demands dedication and perseverance. I have OCD, I love cleaning! No, by God’s grace you don’t have one! #OCD is not an enjoyable ‘personality’ trait; it is an agonizing, repetitive, intrusive thought/ behaviour for the person suffering from it. Any OCD led behaviour comes with debilitating levels of anxiety. Like washing hands repeatedly for fear of germs or arranging items in a particular order. There is cognitive therapy and medication required for OCD. So, the next time you hear someone nonchalantly using OCD for being neat/organized, please ask them not to trivialize the struggle that people with OCD have to go through. Sometimes people show no signs of struggle, but sometimes the obvious signs are there! On Mental Health awareness month, thank you CommsAdda for initiating the fabulous conversations around #mentalhealth As part of the sensitization communication, thought of calling out this cliché. Let's break the stigma, foster empathy, and nurture a community that prioritizes #mentalhealth To more conversations & adda!

Encouragement and understanding can go a long way. Ladies, your support is invaluable. Encourage the men in your life to prioritize their health and well-being. Sometimes, all it takes is a gentle nudge to make a big change. If you or someone you know needs support, reach out to Men’s Helpline at 1300 78 99 78. They are there to listen and help. Let’s work together to create a healthier and more supportive environment for everyone.
