I love Only Fools and Horses. Jimmy Carr. Boyzone, Backstreet Boys, Human Nature, Coventry City Football Club, Ricky Gervais. Brooklyn Nine-Nine, XFiles, Little Creatures Brewing Pale Ale, Single Malt, Bangers N Mash, Fish N Chips, Goat Vindaloos, wearing Calibre Suits with kerchiefs and nice shirts topped off with unusual cufflinks and ties in winter, really enjoyed the tv series The Boys and I regularly talk to myself.
Yep absolutely nothing to do with the actual job but that’s who I am and that’s who you’ll be working with for 40 hours a week.
Now the role isn’t your usual internal role full of tizzy marketing and branding, free flow agency coffees and beers, technology that does everything for you nor a sea of administrators that do all your paperwork.
This role, just like mine is in the trenches.
It’s fixing stuff all the time.
It’s keeping track of a million excel spreadsheets.
It’s a lot of raised eyebrow moments.
It’s a lot of frustrations.
But it’s also a role that is led by a HR Director who is there with us.
It’s a role for a company that is looking to us in recruitment to transform the department into an actual all singing and dancing centre of excellence.
It’s a company that you will find many a friendly greeting, a 10 minutes always to discuss an issue and a leadership team that is listening.
Now the economic perks are pretty black and white.
Base salary upto $110K plus super of 11.1% …yep you read right. I actually don’t know why it’s an extra 0.1% but hey it’s better than 11%
On-site gym, it’s quality equipment but the change rooms do remind me of away games playing football but at least they keep the hot water on unlike the teams I used to play.
WFH once a week and you can also choose to do a 9 day fortnight after a certain period.
There’s also a few other things that are fairly decent plus a few others at the ideas stage which I can’t say right now or else my boss will make me disappear hahaha.
So there you go warts and all.
