🌟 Impressions from ISE 2024 in Barcelona: A mix of the familiar and the new! 🌟 What an exciting time at this year's Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) in Barcelona! Here are some of our impressions and experiences that we would like to share with you: 🤝 We were delighted to meet many long-time acquaintances in person and to continue networking. It was like a class reunion that gave us the opportunity to share our progress, challenges, and future plans. 🌐 At the same time, we also made many new and interesting acquaintances who enriched us with fresh perspectives and ideas. It's always inspiring to meet new faces and experience the diversity of our industry. 🚀 While we were all looking for the "next big thing", we were thrilled with the advancements and excellent product care presented at the show. It shows that innovation is a continuous process and that our industry is constantly finding new ways to grow and thrive. 💬 The conversations we had were invaluable and there was a wealth of knowledge and ideas shared. Each discussion has helped to broaden our horizons and open up new perspectives. 🏟️ The trade fair organizers deserve praise for their improvements compared to last year. Waiting times at the entrance were minimal, which made access to the fair incredibly smooth. ⏳ The time flew by and even though we enjoyed every minute, there were still some things we would have liked to explore longer. 📅 We are already looking forward to next year and will plan to spend even more time discovering everything ISE has to offer. It's an opportunity we don't want to miss to connect with like-minded people, find inspiration and share our passion for the industry. Overall, ISE 2024 in Barcelona was an incredible experience that enriched us with new insights, valuable contacts, and great moments. I’m excited to be in Barcelona this week for #TheNTWKSummit, which is taking place on May 28th-29th.  This Summit has grown rapidly to become Europe's top summit for platform & ecosystem innovation, gathering many of Europe top companies, platform leaders, practitioners, and scholars.  Over the past decade, platforms have emerged as powerful businesses. In Europe, platforms have been criticized as "gatekeepers" that control access to market opportunities. However, the truth is they are far more impactful as "gate openers." Platforms unlock tremendous value by reducing transaction costs, improving discoverability, and enabling powerful network effects. This is not just true for traditional linear business transactions, but increasingly for circular models that extend product lifespans and close resource loops. Platforms open the gates to new markets, new customers, new partnerships, and new innovative business models that would be extremely difficult to access through traditional means. 🚄 InnoTrans 2024: Leading trade fair for rail transport unveils major innovations in Berlin 🚏 The international trade fair InnoTrans 2024, which starts in a few hours in Berlin from 24 to 27 September, is once again the focus of attention in the transport industry. With more than 3,000 exhibitors from all over the world, the event has established itself as the most important event for mobility technologies, presenting the latest in rail innovation, sustainability and digitalisation. This year, there are a number of trendsetting developments in the future of transport that stand out: Alstom is one of the protagonists, showcasing an impressive range of solutions to improve sustainability and passenger experience. Among the innovations, Alstom will present the Coradia Max, a high-capacity regional train designed to maximise operational efficiency. In addition, visitors will be able to see the new Berlin tram, the longest in service, and the Traxx Universal multi-system locomotive, created in collaboration with Akiem. However, the biggest attraction will be the immersive presentation of the Avelia Horizon, considered the world's most advanced high-speed train. This year, the show will offer a unique visitor experience with AI Tours, which will showcase the latest applications of artificial intelligence (AI) in transport. These guided tours will explore innovative solutions such as intelligent rail traffic management and maintenance optimisation through predictive analytics. InnoTrans 2024 will also host the first Rail Influencers Festival, an initiative that aims to connect opinion leaders and content creators with the sector's most innovative technologies. In addition, the fair will feature the Mobility+ space, which will present complementary mobility solutions such as car sharing and intermodal transport. As part of its focus on sustainability, new technologies will be showcased that seek to decarbonise rail transport, one of the central themes of the fair this year. The aim is to promote cleaner and more efficient mobility, responding to the global challenges of climate change. InnoTrans 2024 will not only be a showcase for technological innovation, but also a key forum for discussing the future of global mobility. This wasn't just any agreement—it was a promise between the Prague Convention Bureau and the Faculty of International Relations /Prague University of Economics and Business/ to forge ahead with a shared vision. SaaSiest Amsterdam 2024 was an amazing event. Thanks Daniel Nackovski, Thomas Sjöberg, Saasiest team members, and all the amazing speakers. What makes it a great event: ✅ Great speakers and knowledge sharing ✅ You meet many like-minded people ✅ Many networking opportunities ✅ Great food and beverage ✅ Awesome party 🪩 🕺🏼 and other activites to meet new people 🎾 🏃🏼➡️ Many people already made great recaps of the event, but there is one thing that stand out to me that no one mentioned yet. GIVE BEFORE YOU GET. So many speakers shared knowledge and content that they would normally charge companies for. Nathan Latka, was giving away his book Kevin "KD" Dorsey, the templates that he and his GTM teams use daily Merel van der Lei, UX best practices manual the list goes on... As a #partnerships professional I know that these are built upon the give and take principle, but this applies pretty much everywhere in business, and also in personal relationships.
