Had a great day yesterday at the launch of the Medtech report on “Future Skills for Ireland’s Medtech Sector 2024-2028”. There was an excellent lineup of speakers from the Medtech industry along with Minister Patrick O’Donovan who gave an excellent opening address. Liam Sheedy and Caroline Currid had a very interesting discussion around high performance from both an individual and team perspective. Pictured here with my colleague Louise Mulligan and Liam Sheedy from BlueLake High Performance Partners. I think I might have convinced Liam that Clare are going all the way this year 😂. #careerwiserecruitment

Connecting with the Future of MedTech at Medical Technology Ireland 2024! Wow – what an amazing two days at Medical Technology Ireland 2024! Our team, including Lisa Higgins and Bhavya Bhatia, had the privilege of attending this year's event at Galway Racecourse. It was a whirlwind of innovation, networking, and inspiration, with more than 300 exhibitors and a jam-packed conference schedule. From the moment the doors opened on the first day, the energy was electric! We had insightful conversations with top industry professionals, specialists, and peers who are not only passionate about MedTech but are actively shaping its future. The topics on the table were exciting and forward-thinking – everything from artificial intelligence and sustainability to supply chain management and talent development in MedTech manufacturing. We were especially impressed by the Women in MedTech Forum – a highlight on the second morning that sparked meaningful discussions about diversity and leadership in the industry. It's moments like these that remind us how important it is to foster an inclusive community within MedTech. As recruiters specialising in MedTech, it's vital for us to stay ahead of these trends, not just for ourselves, but for our clients and candidates. We recognise how essential it is to be part of the conversation – to understand where the industry is heading so we can help prepare our candidates for the roles of tomorrow. These events are an incredible opportunity to connect, learn, and bring that knowledge back to the heart of what we do. 💬 What does this mean for us at Pale Blue Dot® Recruitment? Well, by staying connected with MedTech's ever-evolving landscape, we continue to strengthen our relationships with both clients and candidates. Whether it's helping our clients find the best talent or preparing candidates to step into roles that will shape the future of MedTech, we are committed to being part of this journey. Thank you to everyone we met, and a special shout out to the event organisers for putting together such a fantastic show. Here's to more innovation, collaboration, and success in the MedTech industry! #MedTechIreland #MedicalTechnologyIreland2024 #PaleBlueDotRecruitment #MedTechInnovation #StayAhead #TalentInMedTech #Networking #WomenInMedTech #FutureOfMedTech #Galway

Irish Medtech is the voice of the industry in Ireland, which is why we have worked with colleagues, working groups and our members to identify and articulate policies needed to ensure that the sector thrives. In our latest 'Priorities for Government' recommendations, we've made sustainability a core pillar, recognising its growing importance for Ireland’s future and our alignment with key EU Green Deal priorities. Pillar 4: Sustainability & Environment - Ensure a just transition throughout regulatory changes and reporting requirements. - Foster a patient centric circular economy. - Support sustainable practices and innovations - Evolve Ireland’s manufacturing and infrastructure support The journey to a sustainable future requires collaboration, and we believe these steps are essential to help our industry and society thrive together. Among other things, we are calling on Government to support industry-driven #dataspaces for #manufacturing using initiatives such as #Manufacturing-X and the #DigitalProductPassport4.0 (DPP4.0) which can be used to combine #compliance with #regulatory requirements and new data-driven #businessmodels.

This week, I joined the Roche team and some of our partners at the health.tech conference in Munich. It was an incredible experience to be around a lot of talented and game-changing individuals and organisations. I have some takeaways from the last two days and I want to share a few of them below: First, there’s incredible innovation happening in Europe. I’ve had a glimpse of the new technologies, solutions, and ideas, which gives me the excitement knowing that the innovative mindset remains heavily in health care. Second, what was also clear was that challenges in getting start-ups to deploy and scale are still very pertinent. Whether regulatory or compliance hurdles or access to customers and buyers - start-ups face a long road ahead to get their technologies to patients and health systems. Third, as mentioned in my keynote on the first day, my message was clear to start-ups –do not reinvent the wheel. Start-ups should work with established organisations, such as Roche. With our expertise, customer base and experience - we can give you the support you need to deploy and scale. So, let’s collaborate – come to talk to me or the Roche team and let’s start a discussion! As a last note, I’d also like to give a big thanks to the Roche team and our partners who joined us during the previous two days. I had the pleasure to talk and listen to many of you - let’s continue to innovate and work together. #HT24 #healthtech #Roche #digitalhealth

🎉 Our group is now HealthInno NM (formerly HealthTech ABQ)!!!!!!!!! 📣 The name better represents our group's goal to unite healthcare executives, administrators, careerists, innovators, policymakers, and enthusiasts in an informal setting to exchange healthcare thought leadership and innovative ideas beyond "just" tech. Join us at our Q2 quarterly event if you value timely/impactful ideas, fostering community within our industry, and catalyzing new conversations to shape a more equitable and innovative healthcare system in New Mexico. It takes conversation from ALL vantage points within the healthcare industry to make this happen, and that is exactly what our group aims to help foster in New Mexico (in collaboration with our colleages at HFMA New Mexico, HIMSS New Mexico Chapter, and #NewMexicoHealthcareExecutives #NMHE of course!) More exciting details will be announced about the Topics and Venue next week, but it is sure to spark some very interesting conversations and thought around what it really means to "innovate" in healthcare, and specifically in New Mexico 😉 Link to register in the comments 👇
