Important: Tips for Applicants As a hiring manager, I recently posted two job openings on LinkedIn: Recruiter and Truck Dispatcher. Unfortunately, I noticed that: 50% of applicants lacked relevant US market experience. Many resumes were incorrectly formatted or incomplete. Several applications were flagged as potential spams. To improve the hiring process, I'd like to share the following tips: For Applicants: 1. Carefully read the job description to ensure you meet the requirements. 2. Use a professional email address (not generic or numbered). 3. Format your resume correctly: - Include your name and relevant job title (e.g., "HR Professional"). - Clearly outline your experience and skills. 4. Proofread your application for spelling and grammar errors. Best Practices for Resume Formatting: 1. Use a clear, concise font (e.g., Arial, Calibri). 2. Include: - Full name - Professional summary/objective - Relevant work experience - Education and certifications - Contact information 3. Avoid: - Generic file names (e.g., "Resume.docx") - Numbered or coded file names, otherwise your email hit in the spam mails, and no one gonna notice it Let's Work Together: By following these guidelines, we can streamline the hiring process, reduce scams, and find the best candidates for the job. Share your thoughts and experiences in the comments below! #hiringtips #jobsearch #resumetips #HRbestpractices #recruitment Follow Isma Imtiaz for more

I must land a role before 09/30. My contract ends, my wife is due in November. I cant give up I have a family that depends on me so I have to push through. I have done everything i can think of: - Networked on LinkedIn - Tweaked Resume - Send messages to hiring managers - Interacted with company pages - Asked for Introductions, Referrals. I have applied to hundreds of jobs already and besides the usual auto-reject email I just had two interviews which was with the same company. Outside of that nothing.. pure nothing.. Roles I am targeting: Call Center Management Customer Service Management Collections Management Quality Assurance #hireme #jobseeking

96% of candidates haven’t read our job description when applying. And this makes me very sad. 🙁 For context: when I write a job description, I list a word a candidate must use when applying. For example: ‘Hot Dog’. It’s placed in the last sentence, in clear view. I don’t mind how it’s used: 1. On the CV 2. Cover letter 3. Shoot a DM etc For me, the couple of seconds of extra effort tells me a lot about the person. ✔️ They know what they are applying for ✔️ They are actively interested ✔️ They are proactive In the last 10 days, 200 people have applied for our open sales role - only 8 have used Hot Dog. Everyone knows what the job market is like right now. I genuinely want candidates to succeed. Here’s three reminders worth flagging to help anyone looking right now: 💡 Read and research before you apply 💡 Personalise your CV or cover letter 💡 Pick something you can do to stand out It takes a little longer to apply for things, yes. However, maybe it can put you ahead of 96% of others and land you the role you are looking for. I’m not a guru, but if anyone wants an extra pair of eyes to double check their CV, let me know 😊

#jobseekers - I know you get frustrated when you see the amount of applicants on job postings....but don't be. Here is why.... There are SO many people that just apply for every single job they see, whether they have ANY of the qualifications or not. It makes it incredibly hard for recruiters to get through all of those applications in order to get to the qualified candidates. Great example, I just had an optical assistant apply to a Senior Manager of Compensation role I am working on. Don't let the numbers fool you....just because it shows a 1,000 people applied to a job doesn't mean that you still shouldn't apply if it is a job match for you. #recruitingtruths #nowhiring #jobsearch
