The **3 Pearl Estidama** is a sustainable development initiative specific to Abu Dhabi, part of the broader "Abu Dhabi Vision 2030." The term "Estidama" means "sustainability" in Arabic and represents a set of guidelines for building and community development that aims to balance environmental, economic, social, and cultural aspects. At the core of Estidama is the **Pearl Rating System (PRS)**, which rates buildings and communities on their sustainability efforts. The system includes several levels, ranging from 1 to 5 Pearls, with higher ratings indicating more significant sustainability achievements. A rating of **3 Pearls** signifies a strong commitment to sustainability, surpassing basic legal requirements and incorporating advanced sustainable practices. The Pearl Rating System evaluates various aspects of development, including: 1. Water Conservation: A key focus due to the arid climate of Abu Dhabi. 2. **Energy Efficiency**: Emphasis on reducing energy consumption and promoting renewable energy sources. 3. Material Use: Encouraging the use of sustainable and locally sourced materials. 4. Indoor Environmental Quality: Ensuring healthy and comfortable indoor environments. Buildings achieving 3 Pearls must demonstrate significant improvements in these areas, providing benefits such as reduced resource consumption, improved occupant health and comfort, and lower environmental impact. This system is unique in its adaptation to the local climate and cultural context, supporting the sustainable growth of Abu Dhabi while preserving its heritage.

TLC in harmony #cityscapeglobal. See you there 11/14 Nov. Riyadh. @nickipage. @leodowner Sos 🆘 calling all in Saudi Arabia’s largest property show in the world. #vision2030saudiarabia Visions must be turned into real delivery don’t you think. Otherwise they can remain mirages supported by marketing. That’s our purpose in coming to present in Riyadh. Let’s share openly a way to really deliver for HRH. Those that manage Saudi funds. Owners that want to under vision 2030 have an authentic development strategy grounded in sustainable thinking and review of concrete. Cement. Building products. Be aware projects are being overspecified and owners over paying. With steel the above cause 80 percent of impacts to nature are found here. Embodied carbon. Operators are ignoring scope 3 impacts 75 percent harms to nature are found there And TLC is going to share how to save money and harms to the natural world good for people. Planet. Business prosperity. Verifyed sustainable on the race to net zero. We believe The Kingdoms vision of transition holds the key 🔑 to a better way for all involved. The purpose of the Total Life Cycle (TLC) sustainability approach. For stadiums, destinations resorts real estate assets our audit is to assess the facilities impact upon the natural environment, through the measure and analysis of greenhouse gas emissions and biodiversity effects related to the business’s goods, services, operations, and guests. It supports sustainability reporting legal compliance, including the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive 2023, identified as one of the leading and most stringent sustainability legislators globally. And conforms to the GHG Protocol. An international standard adopted by the EU, UK, USA and Asia; that provides the guidance and methodology to identify and assess Scope 1,2 and 3 greenhouse gas emissions. The audit supports the identification and prioritisation of environmental issues to direct action for improvement, while delivering consumer engagement and potential funding for change. Total Life Cycle (TLC) analytics are: ▪ Primarily data-driven using quantitative information on the business’s use of resources, activities, and services. ▪ Structured through a Life Cycle Analytics (LCA) approach to the supply chain, which reviews impacts from manufacturing and use to disposal/recycling, of purchased and leased goods. ▪ Detailed and granular in its analysis of Scope 3 emissions (GHG Protocol), that form their largest climate impacts (75-85%) across most companies’ supply and value chain. ▪ Unique, by analysing your supply chain, by procurement, row by product row, rather than inferred from gross spend as used by other “Scope 3” audits. ▪ Science-based and outcome focused. ▪ Aligned to UK/internationally recognised environmental standards, research, and GHG conversion tables. ▪ In compliance with regional climate disclosure legislation that requires accurate emissions data for all scopes.

Dubai 🇦🇪 is committed to sustainability and eco-friendly development as part of its broader vision for the future🌠. Under the leadership of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai has set ambitious goals to transform into a sustainable, smart city by 2040. Here are key points on sustainability and eco-friendly initiatives in new property developments in Dubai, aligned with Agenda 2040: 1️⃣ Green Building Regulations: Dubai has implemented the Al Sa'fat initiative, which sets mandatory green building regulations for all new construction projects. These regulations promote energy efficiency, water conservation, and the use of sustainable materials. 2️⃣ LEED Certification: Many new properties aim for LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification, which ensures that buildings meet high environmental performance standards. 3️⃣Smart Homes: New developments increasingly feature smart home technologies that optimize energy use, reduce waste, and enhance the quality of living. These technologies include smart lighting, thermostats, and water management systems. 4️⃣Renewable Energy Integration: New properties are incorporating renewable energy sources, such as solar panels, to reduce reliance on non-renewable energy and decrease carbon footprints. 5️⃣ Waste Management: Advanced waste management systems are being integrated into new developments to promote recycling and reduce landfill use. 📌Meraas is dedicated to achieving a LEED Gold Certification for planning and designing at THE ACRES🏠 ( new project in DubaiLand) reflecting its unwavering commitment to sustainability and environmentally friendly practices. For example, in THE ACRES they are using 33% less water than the UAE average and 100% of irrigation demand covered, by the treated wastewater. Also, achieving 80% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions per capita. 📌THE ACRES is very unique project in DubaiLand with high connectivity. For more details, contact me!
