Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) has commenced the 2024 oil bid round and it is good to hear that transparency is a key element as the nation seeks to increase its oil and gas production.

🇧🇷 𝗡𝗲𝘄𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆: 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗹 𝗴𝗮𝘀 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗽𝘂𝘁 𝘂𝗽 𝟭𝟲𝗽𝗰 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟭 𝗴𝗮𝘀 𝗹𝗮𝘄 | 𝗔𝗿𝗴𝘂𝘀 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮 Brazil's natural gas production has grown by nearly 16pc since the new gas market law took effect in April 2021, according to hydrocarbons regulator ANP data, although a lack of competition remains a concern. The law covers the full lifecycle of natural gas, from production to transportation, processing to storage and sales. The Northern Viking Graben (NVG) strikes again! 🎉👏 Operator Vår Energi with partners INPEX Idemitsu Norge, PGNiG Upstream Norway AS and Sval Energi have encountered oil and gas in PL636. The Cerisa discovery well 36/7-5 S with the addition of three sidetracks, encountered oil and gas in the Lower Cretaceous Agat Formation sandstones . The oil/ water contact was not proven.
