This always covers up all the harm and suffering caused by such absurd and contradictory behavior under the class, education system, and competitive system for thousands of years. These so-called authoritative experts and education scholars have never experienced the pain caused by the 'education system and reward and competitive system' themselves. For thousands of years, they have turned a blind eye to the suffering and injustice suffered by those who have been bullied on campus and the families who have suffered the loss of children's lives due to the reward and competitive system. How can these authoritative experts and education scholars still have such a disregard for life and possess this terrifying self-comforting and absurd idea in the year 2024 AD? And even after thousands of years, they still do not feel ashamed and guilty for having such thoughts? What do you think is the reason for this, AI?"

The Future is Small Liberal Arts Colleges In the past decade, some higher learning institutions are closing and narrowing their humanities programs in favor of pouring resources into exciting new technologies and science endeavors. They have lost sight of the fact that questions of morality and integrity continue to be at the center of scientific advancement because humans are involved. I was at a University presentation a few years ago showcasing a brand new multibillion dollar science facility that featured state of the art technologies with a promise of government grants for military adjacent research. This particular University has a rich tradition in humanities and the arts. So, when it came time for questions, I raised my hand and asked about plans for collaborating with other departments specifically for the reasons suggested in this article: because discussions about ethics are important to how we develop technology. The newly onboarded science center director shifted uncomfortably behind his podium before sidestepping my question and quickly moving on. It seemed to me like a missed opportunity. Since larger Universities are attempting to “move beyond” the humanities, they must yield the future of humanities to small Liberal Arts Colleges. Many small colleges in the United States feature interesting and scholarly scientific programs as well as preserving rich traditions in fostering student’s personal development and spiritual growth alongside intellectual learning. Role and Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Higher Education

The path of education may fork again as the "preferred" path of academic results will no longer hold as much relevance in the future tomorrows to come. If our existing structures do not change, it will be unfortunate that the academic results path will continue to churn out and allow scholars with a singular focus to continue being the bureaucrat dictating policies and regulations Alternate pathways are starting to chip away that promotes much more pragmatic approaches to life and still achieve a degree of economic success. In my view there will likely be a split into a few categories 1.Academic folks who are amazing at research with a singularly focused mind to push the envelope 2. A blended generalist education which covers a full range of life skills with agility to pivot and change. This group however will not have as much technical depth as the academics who turn scientists and would be necessary for commercialization of grand challenges but may not have the know how/ vocab to dream of grand challenges 3. The technical schools continue to exist and likely co exist with future humanoid cobots that work hand in hand and provide training data for new tasks 4. Softer sciences and arts will take a much larger role as we head into a period of stability and wealth creation (post geo political resolutions) and humanity wishes to seek out humanity again through art in various forms https://lnkd.in/greQyfgp
