#BestOf2024 the moments that made this year extraordinary: New Accessible Releases 2024 🎥 This year, we had an impressive number of accessible releases. Together with our content providers and the essential support of the U.S. Department of Education, we made over 100 titles accessible, including features like audio description, and captions, in both English and Spanish. We are fortunate to have strong partnerships with organizations that are deeply committed to accessibility, such as Sesame Workshop, Fred Rogers Productions, POV, Waterbear, Superfest, Pragda, Canal Trece, Canal 22 Internacional, New Day Films, and Semillitas. They consistently support initiatives that provide access to audiences with sensory disabilities. We are grateful for the generosity and commitment to accessibility from the U.S. Department of Education and our partners. Their support has been instrumental in ensuring equal access for everyone.

The International Day of Play is particularly special for our Child and Infant lab as we start our ambitious project on "Grammar of Play" !! We are hoping to get some grants soon !! Unravelling the intricate dimensions of play has been our emphasis and we will continue our work :) Glad to see that the emphasis on PLAY for promoting early childhood development is gaining momentum !! Together, we can continue to highlight the importance of play :) TOYS are the "TIMELESS TREASURES" that shape the intricate foundations of neural architecture, serving as more than mere play objects. These objects are the architects of imagination, creativity, and cognitive growth, weaving the threads of development through every child's mind. Neural pathways are being forged and strengthened, laying down the groundwork for future learning :)

Play makes a better world. It's how we learn our first lessons. How to take turns, work cooperatively, follow the rules, problem solve, lose gracefully, win graciously. How would you evaluate your Play Quotient? or your 'Woo-hoo' Factor? How much time do you and your team put aside to intentionally relax, move your body, laugh, allow yourself to be silly, have fun, and for bonding and team-building? In a world fraught with overwhelm, anxiety, loneliness, frustration and tension, it is imperative that we ALL take time for some mental health PLAY-TIME to re-charge and re-learn how to find joy and happiness!

Today marks International Day of Play. An important day for me and all of my colleagues here at ESP PLAY.    As I sit here writing this, I think about how far we have come as a business and the differences we have made to children’s lives all over the country. 1st of June is a special day in Poland as we celebrate Child's Day. To remind ourselves that we were all once children, we organized a fun game called "Who is this kid?" 📸. Today we get to celebrate the inaugural International Day of Play! 🤸 The United Nations General Assembly got together and made the 11th of June the International Day of Play - because they believe (and so do we) that every child can reach their full potential, with the time, space and access to play. 97% of children believe play is important yet one in three do not have the time to play. To change this, children are asking adults and decision-makers to: • Invest in children’s well-being by protecting their right to play. • Provide children with more time and opportunities to play, including in school. • Protect their right to play by creating safe and accessible places to play, including for those with special needs. • Respect their rights to be heard in decisions impacting their right to play. • Support them in developing social skills through play.
